RE:doordash driver penalized for refusing delivery to nudist customer who planned on exposing himself

Thats the simple matter of it. Be respectful dont throw stuff in people's face and call it a right. But so many seem incapable of seeing that au of behaving and in the process mess it up for all of us.

It's a different matter if you have invited someone to visit socially and wish to remain naked - they are under no obligation to visit, so 'my house, my rules' and if they don't like it they can stay away. But when it is part of someone's job and they have no real choice in whether or not to come to your house, then what's wrong with simply saying 'BTW I'm a naturist - are you okay with that or would your rather I put some clothes on while you're here'?

So a 'cut and paste' from Reddit to your news website legitimises the content?

My comments are wholly directed at what the Doordash driver claims, which was only ever posted on Reddit. The fact some journo picked it up from there doesn't validate it...probably makes this situation even worse now because we don't know what poetic licence was taken by the cut and paste journo!

As stated already I'm not disagreeing with the thoughts, concerns, sentiments and viewpoints of fellow nudies on here. My own behaviour is aligned with them. The principle issues remain in these situations:

Innocent till proven guilty
Two sides to a story always
The 'enraged' usually embellish - to gain empathy
Journo's embellish to get cut through - its what they do for a living

I have no doubt that there are complete fuckwits out there who have no idea on nudist etiquette and general respect for all. Have always found a small dose of scepticism works well to get to the bottom of things posted on social media...and that includes this site!

Common sense says "Don't be rude". We all enjoy being nude, forcing it on others is not the way to spread the message.

I wholly agree but based on some responses it would seem that common sense isnt very common anymore. It is surprising to me why the matter of simple respect is causing such consternation for some.

there is a difference between being naked or nude and being sexual.
Refusing to diliver to a nudist house should be going like any other. I nudist will not offend or rape anyone just because of being naked and I really get sick of those people who over react on nudety (wich afther all is the most natural thing in live).

here is an artical of a trial that has been in Spain and where a nudist has been told by the high court that he could continue his livestyle!

"Ir desnudo por la calle es legal. As lo ha confirmado una sentencia del Tribunal Superior de Justicia de la Comunidad Valenciana (TSJCV) en la que se ha confirmado la decisin adoptada por un juzgado de Valencia en la que anulaba las sanciones impuestas por la Delegacin del Gobierno a un joven que iba desnudo por la calle en Aldaia (Valencia)."

I think the simplest thing to do is put on some shorts when you hear a knock at the door and then go back to being nude after he leaves

I believe you have missed the point the driver was penalized because she opted to not subject herself to the view of a naked body. Shouldn't that be her right? Or does the customer's right to present himself naked to delivery people which IMO is not natural at all in this context supercede her rights.

I don't know what the trial you mention has to do with that. Or how the determination of any individual to I now if they will be rated by anyone clothed or naked has to do with this issue. What sickens me is the toxic individuality that assumes certain individuals gets to exercise their rights while denying the rights of others. It doesn't help the reputation of nudism or societies regard of nudism.

Imagine such a simple response instead of all the machinations of justifications trying to bend into pretzels to make sense of the behavior. Why not use our higher reasoning capacity as human beings to craft such a simple and respectful approach.

The customer was doing the opposite of "forcing" his nudity on the driver by warning them. If her refusing to deliver to a particular customer goes against Door Dash policy, that is a matter between employee and employer. Delivery people are going to happen upon all kinds of lifestyles and all kinds of crazy in their duties. Let's not make a villain of the nudist for having the decency to warn the delivery people.
