Sep 29, 2016We took a road trip from our home in Minnesota out to Montana. 2500 miles total. I was naked about 1800 miles of it. My wife won't usually go naked in the car, but as soon as we left home, she asked why I still had clothes on. So, off they came. I keep shorts and a t-shirt handy for when we stop for gas. I was covering up when we passed a large truck, because I assumed they might be able to see me. My wife looked at me like I was crazy. She said, "Why are you covering up, they don't know us, who cares?"

Simple answer.
Put your seat belt on and adjust it properly. Mark where it goes through the loop, add a couple of inches and attach a bulldog clip.
The belt will still work if needed, but won't hold you down.ReactReply - NU

Sep 29, 2016I am a frequent nude driver. My parents live about 1 1/2 hours away and I always drive nude when I go to visit. My job also puts me on the road frequently which gives me the opportunity also. I also have a Hyundai Tuscon and I love the fact that it sits taller than most other vehicles and I do not have to worry about being spied on. However, I never cover up, even when passing semi's.

Oct 2, 2016Oh, I drive in the nude all the time! I live in northeast Ohio, so not exactly the wilderness, lol. However, if I have to ever drive the turnpike, that's when I shed my clothes. Not too many cars, and the only ones to see me are the truck drivers. I would love to share pics of me driving in the nude, but unfortunately they might be a tad bit inappropriate, lol.

Oct 3, 2016It seems to me that this is the wrong group for this discussion, because if you are driving in the nude, then you are not Naked At Home any more. You are out on the roadway somewhere. You might start out and/or end up Naked At Home, but the in between time is not at home.

Oct 3, 2016When I was an over the road truck driver I drove nude 85% of the time!! My longest trip was from Pendleton, Or. back to Pratt, Ks.! Only getting dressed to fuel, shower, and eat! With my very textile wife those days are over! She told me that you can be nude around the house and out in the woods you hike in, but you aren't driving nude anymore!! Oct 3, 2016I drive naked on almost any long journey. There are three situations where you are less likely to be caught. Two are in the rain or at night. In either case they can't easily see into your car. The third is in hot weather when it isn't uncommon to drive topless. But remember that pedestrians, lorry drivers and coach/bus passengers can see down into your car. I've had some interesting reactions. BTW I've taken to traveling without any clothes in the car or with them out of reach in the boot (trunk). So no way to cover up.ReactReply - CA
Oct 3, 2016Previously I have only driven up to 10 miles naked before.
This last weekend I chose to drive home naked for 60 miles from the nudist resort, slept naked, then hopped in the car first thing in the morning to return to the resort, all naked.

I like to drive naked while on long trips too. Im more alert and get less tired. I drive between Pa and Florida twice a year and usually drive it nude or with just a t shirt. My wife has gotten accustomed to it but she wont do it.

[/quote]I agree about night time driving. If I look down and I can't even tell that I'm naked, how will anyone else? You just have to be careful with street lights, and junction CCTV.
Hot weather also makes sense, and I have driven home naked because I thought exactly the same thing.
As for driving in the rain I haven't tried that yet, but if it was warm too, I'd be too tempted to get out and walk in the rain.

I have found other than choosing one lane over another, there is nothing you can do short of covering up, perish the thought!
Last night I stripped naked in the parking lot of the pharmacy to drive home. I know the first red light I come to is a red light camera light with a lot of bright lighting, but what the hell. Even if the person next to you sees your bare shoulders they are not well placed to see much else, except.....
... last night I was in the leftmost lane turning left at that red light. A tractor trailer was turning right into the road I was coming out of, because the space was tight the tractor inched its way around the bend very slowly, the cab towered over my car and the driver had the perfect vantage point to see me in all my glory. However as is often the case, the driver either didn't care or was so busy executing the maneuver he/she didn't notice.
We irrationally fear someone can see more than they really can, or that they pay attention in the first pace. These fears are groundless 99/100.ReactReply - TR
Oct 6, 2016We have driven home nude from our nudist retreat so many times now that we've lost track lol. Through several towns along the way - in broad daylight - at least 10-12 stoplights. Every so often someone will pull up beside us and take a stare, but for the most part, no one sees or seems to care. We have a pickup that rides fairly high so that probably explains why - but other truck drivers don't seem to notice much either lol. Posted a pic of Anita in our truck for the group :)

They stopped him and charged him with mischief. Long story short he got off the charge but had to pay his lawyer. Nov 3, 2016I love driving naked. Its relaxing, stress free, and keeps you obeying ALL traffic laws. I drove home naked just last night from a job site a cpl hours away. I live in a very quiet area so when i got home and parked in the driveway, I just climbed out of the van and strolled into the house.

Nov 4, 2016Someone suggested this group shouldn't be for discussing driving nude. How about in the garage? :). I love driving nude because it's an extension of being home that way. I find it particularly nice when I can get in my car naked in the garage and return home the same way, without ever getting dressed. It feels good not to get dressed at all. Very liberating. Last spring I spent a week with my wife at a cabin in the middle of nowhere. I stayed naked all week. When we headed home I lamented having to get dressed. My wife, who isn't a nudist, told me to stay nude and she'd drive me home. When we got there I was able to stay undressed at home for 3 more days. Being home nude and extending it by staying nude in the car is a wonderfully completing experience.

Nov 4, 2016I have heard that if you have a towel with you to cover up if a bus or truck pulls up next to you, or if you get pulled over that you will not get in trouble. I have not actually heard from anyone that this actually worked for. I also would think it would depend on the police officer who pulls you or stops you because someone complained, if he or she does not see a problem with being nude, then I would think they would not give you a problem about being nude as long as you cover up while pulled over. However, if the police officer thinks there is something wrong with being nude, he or she could give you a hard time and/or charge you with something. So you have to be very careful. I did read a story in our local newspaper once about a person who was seen driving nude on the thruway by a truck driver, who called the police. The vehicle was pulled over and the person was charged with indecent exposure. The only reason it was a big deal in the newspaper was the nudist was an FBI agent, but even though he was a law enforcement officer himself he got pulled over by the wrong police officer because he charged him anyway. I personally don't see a reason that you should not drive nude and have done it many times myself, especially when I am on the way to and from a nude beach or resort.ReactReply
