I believe the San Francisco area allows public nudity
No. No, it doesn't. The last two cities in that area to allow nudity were Berkeley and San Francisco. They both enacted anti-nudity laws in the 1990s.
Privately owned beaches that are not within city limits are, essentially, clothing-optional.
Vermont and Oregon lack state-wide anti-nudity laws. In each of those states, a few cities have specifically enacted their own anti-nudity laws. Thus, essentially, anywhere within those states that's outside of those cities is safe for nudity.
I am moving to SW Oregon next spring or summer.
Safest way is to own the land and have privacy installed whether it be plant life or privacy fencing to avoid Societies' hang-ups. A really great vacation is to find recreational land and buy 5 acres and make your own Eden. This type of land is still pretty cheap and even if it is 3-4 hours away, you can camp out on it and not deal with civilization. I made my Eden and have had to get a few more parcels 3 hours away since civilization has found me! LOL!!!!! Nothing like being 65yo and starting over again for "whatever" time this next one will be! LOL! Still good at my house now- but land really never ever goes down in price when it affords a freer lifestyle away from society's regulation. so, GET it now for future possibilities! LOL!_-S
You can't just add plantings and fencing to maintain your privacy where you are now?
