TN is undergoing major upgrades.
New laws have been passed in the last year or two making TN and other nude sites illegal because they are open to all internet users including children and people who are shocked by nudity.
The changes are being made to protect TN and keep it on-line in the future.
Some of the public see TN as a "sex site".
How the judgment by juries will play out is still uncertain. See a lawyer for current legal advice.
Over the past 6 months various attempts were made that were then changed again. TN is a large website project. It has lots of interacting functions that are easy to break. A few dedicated web developers are going to need a substantial amount of time to smooth out the problems that develop and to come up with complying procedures. Large areas of TN will still probably need major revision.
Here are my observations of the current status.
"Are you 18 years old" is now the first thing you see when you first log in as a member. It had some false starts, but now seems to be working fine.
As far as I can tell anyone can become a member. I expect that in the future you must certify to become a member. Other sites have implemented this strategy and are now closed to the both adult and underage public.
Members can see "Public" photos but cannot upload photos. For a while members could, and moderators deleted nude, underage, and sexually explicit photos posted by un-certified members. I think that was a monumental moderator task. Now, no uploads until certified.
The Certification process pages have changed several times. Sometimes steps failed and were later corrected. For now, make sure you allow each page to complete its process before moving to the next step. Sometimes delays happen. If it does not finish the cert will probably fail.
Certified Members can upload clothed or nude pictures. The upload process may not work smoothly. Use the "Browse" function to upload. The Drag and Drop function was not working this last week. I have not been able to upload videos this week. Be patient.
I recommend using a clothed picture for your User ID photo until the legal environment becomes more clear. See a lawyer for current interpretation of the laws. Protect any nude photos so only Certified Friends can see them. Change settings so uploads do not show on the Public Feed because you can't protect them until they are on your Media page.
This means under age people will have a very hard time seeing your nude pictures. Only allowing Friends lets you control viewing to people you are sure are properly practicing Nudists and Naturists. People who are "shocked" by public nudity will have a hard time being "shocked".

I have been talking for some time in my self-published blog on truenudists.com about some of the recent changes to some countries' laws in response to the United Kingdom Online Safety Act (U.K. O.S.A.) that was entered into force in 2025 in the United Kingdom forced onto all the global internet accessible from IP Addresses in the United Kingdom. The UK Online Safety Act is complete dogwater and threatens nudists all over the world, especially online.
Some youtubers are able to be located on the app Invidious if you search for them there on Invidious.

This is a very fast moving situation with how the governments are changing even in some democratic places how we monitor and surveill the internet in unprecedented and more dangerous ways.

THE SHORT ANSWER: The Online Safety Act is complete Dogwater. We need to be more like the vision of the more stable Liberal-Democratic Liberation Theology Catholic Christians, except at least some of us of course should be critical of the institutional and unjust actions of the Catholic Church and church-adjacent people who are folly or inconsistent. Michael Jamal Brooks was a man that was rather left-wing, but he was not a part of the Institutional Left, except for being the most prominent recent member of the philosophers of the Majority Report to be a member of the Democratic Socialists of America!
But he broke with everyone, for good reason: He decided to fight against petty politics and judgement, in order to build meaningful economic momentum and political action.
Michael Jamal Brooks did this very late in his short life, and, tragically, he spontaneously died unexpectedly from a rare blood clotting condition in his circulatory system. He officially disavowed "BEEFING" on the "FAR LEFT" and decided to "EMBRACE MARXIST HUMANISM" without "EMBRACING MARXIST PARTISANSHIP" and decided to "FIGHT HARD AGAINST INSTITUTIONS, BUT BE KIND TO PEOPLE." While a Marxist Humanist and a CLASSICAL MARXIST, he broke with "Orthodox Marxism in Broad Terms" and "Marxism-Leninism as a whole" broadly, in favor of "Liberal and Humanist Marxist" and "Liberal Humanist Marxist" "Marxist Market Socialism" and "Anti-colonial, Anti-Imperial, pro-empathy Anticolonial and Anti-Feudal Anti-Fascism." No, He was not Marxist-Leninist due to infighting there in his lifetime, and he was not "Orthodox Marxist" but remained "Humanist Marxism" and "Cosmopolitan Marxist Democratic Socialist" as opposed to more totalitarian versions of Marxism found in "Leninism" and "Regular Orthodox Marxism broadly." Michael Jamal Brooks died in this political position because he died of his sudden blood clotting internally due to "a rare condition" in mid-year year 2020 Common Era or Gregorian or Western Europe Calendar. In 2020 Common Era, he did good for the world. He died in Mid-Year 2020, In the Common Era or Western Calendar.
He favored independence for a Secular, Tolerant, Democratic, Religiously Plural, Social Democratic, and Humanist and Free and Arab-led and Jewish Tolerant and Broadly Religiously Tolerant Arab-led Palestine. I endorse broadly the better vision Brooks had, over any other vision!!
He softened to Liberation Theology, but Michael Brooks ultimately died in 2020 sympathetic to Catholic Liberation Theology but NEVER had joined the Catholic Churches. He died a secular humanist and likely Agnostic or Ignostic or Igtheist, but he had MUCH RESPECT for Left-Wing Religious people, including The Right Rev. Doctor CORNEL WEST.
Now, in the age of Trump, the people and the government treat the Constitution like as a Suggestion, but sadly, it is mostly a law on paper only, but it should be modified to be enforced as a reasonable system of laws and a systems of the Rule Of Laws and as a system of Due Process Of Law or Due Process Under Law USED TO PROVIDE A POLITICALLY INDEPENDENT AND AGENCY-INDPENDENT JUDICIARY!!

Brooks is the person you can watch a little less critically, since he got so much completely correct.
It is not as much with the Majority Report, who get many many things very subtly less nuanced and more politicized and aggressive.
I am critical of some aspects of both, with contrasting my views as more liberal than Brooks, but I see the things that are amazing from Brooks' life. And he is so amazing!!
