Groups Media Photos?

I have noticed when going through the media photos of groups I have joined some groups not all, I get about halfway through them and suddenly encounter "Media Not Found". Has anyone else noticed this too? Some groups I can view the photos enlarged all the way to the end of the photos, but some only get about halfway before I get Media Not Found. Is there a way to view them when this happens?

1) The media was deleted for some reason.
2) A few years back, there was massive data loss of media due to backups not running correctly. Lots of stuff was lost.
3) Somewhere in the past, the name of the media server changed (or a second one got added). Some stuff got lost in the shuffle.

But the thumbnail photo still exists on the media pages. Why won't it open when those are still present?
