French door "inside" cabins
Return to DiscussionsWe were able to book this cruise during the prebook window (for BN customers with 10+ cruises as well as those of us just getting off the 2015 cruise) so we had the entire ship to choose from. We went to Cruise Critic and look up the ship to find out what cabins are recommended. The French door "inside" cabins were at the top of the list. They are actually outside cabins priced similar to inside cabins. The catch is that the French doors open to a view of one of the lifeboats. Since the ship was still basically empty, we chose one of the French door cabins that looks to be between lifeboats so we will still at least have a partial view.
Cruise Critic was right, these cabins are hot. They are completely sold out for our cruise.

That was a good strategy! Mine is since I'm very prone to motion sickness mid ship as low as I can go. It worked out real well in 2015 so I best stick to what worked. If you recall we had a rough sea day in 2015 enough it sloshed all the water out of the pool. We went up to visit friends on the 9th deck and it was swaying pretty good. She was sea sick so I thought yup I'll keep myself parked low in the boat the next time too. It is pretty cool on the upper decks and some of those staterooms like our friends were quite nice.
Maybe we can remember to meet up on this cruise this time. :)
I'm a pilot in my spare time, so the pitching and rolling doesn't get to me as much. We were on one cruise where the main dining room had a two-story windowed view out the back of the ship and one night at dinner our view was ocean... sky... ocean... sky... We made it through that one!
