Did you guys have your kids circumcised?

Feb 8, 2019I had both of my boys circumcised at birth. My wife and I had a spirited conversation about this but I thought that they should look like their dad. Thought that if they didn't it might have scarred them. I asked them recently if they would have preferred I didn't and they both said no.

Feb 18, 2019A father's decision to circumcise theirs young son(s) is always a challenging one, and usually comes down to the father's own past experience, the amount of information the father's has on hand and/or religious/cultural reasons.
I was uncut until my late thirties at which time there was a need for me to get circumcised. In my experience, my penis functions perfectly and I don't miss my foreskin or feel I lost a significant amount of sensitivity.
I grew up with a dad who was circumcised and I always wishes as a child my penis looked like my dad's, today I'm pleased to look down and see the penis I wish I had growing up and one that reminds me of my dad's.
I'm not an advocate for either non-circumcision or circumcision, but I don't think any father should be faulted for making a decision to circumcise his son(s) since it's always based on love and doing what the father believes is best for his son(s).ReactReply - 1N
Mar 1, 2019Great reply NoBoxers!
If anyone knows about both worlds; you would. I am amazed that you notice little difference. I really struggled with the idea of taking the foreskin away from our boys. I have comfort after reading your reply that they aren't robbed of more pleasure.
As far as circumcisions, our first was preformed by using a ring that took the skin off in a couple of days. I recall that it created a very neat cut. The wife asked the pediatrician to leave more skin intact on the following boys, which were done by a different doctor. She requested that because mine is so tight when erect. It doesn't bother me, but there is little movement of the skin when I fill the thing with blood.ReactReply - CU
Sep 4, 2025I'd point out that making sure the coronal sulcus is fully exposed is propably the only way to ensure the boys will enjoy all the advantages of circumcision. Having been high and tight and now low ultra tight, and having had a healthy foreskin before, your sons will lose nothing of the sort. The nerves in the area are unkillable. Similar to how you can lose a huge amount of the optic nerve before you notice any loss of vision whatsoever. Truly, very reduntant.

Sep 6, 2025This entire group on a naturist site is about circumcision! If you don't want to discuss go to another group! Not being funny, I love 60s music myself which is first on your group list I think but you could say what has that got to do with naturism!

Sep 7, 2025As naturists/nudists we should not put undue emphasis on certain body parts (like the textiles do) but look at them all, that is the whole body from head to toe, on an equal footing!!

Sep 17, 2025I raised 3 daughter so didn't have to make a circumcision decision. My only grandson was circumcised at birth, which I supported.

Nov 21, 2025Would you re-circumcise the men in your life if they developed any movable skin
Do you check your boys flaccid and erect penises regularly to see if there's any slack Or do you rely on them reporting it?
In my experience it's not very wise to rely on them because no man won't feel uneasy about a knife coming to his private parts. So they have a motive to lie. It's also best to cultivate a climate where recircumcision upon development of loose skin is a given and something to look forward to in case it happens.ReactReply - CU
Nov 21, 2025
Yes, we would have had our sons re-circumcised if their shaft skin had loosened at all. Up until they were 10 we checked them ourselves. After that we relied on them telling us. Frankly it was and is always obvious that their penis skin is drum-tight - one of the advantages of the whole family being nudists. Natasha xx
I hope they didn't go shy suddenly because it's your other mother rather than their father. There is no embarrassment in a mother wanting to examine the well being of their of her sons down there . especially if there is suspicion that corrective action must be undertaken. My point here is that over 10 Years old sounds like an age where they would be mature enough. They are certainly mature enough to understand that if slack appears they would have to and it would be in their benefit to undergo a recircumcision procedure. At the same time they might be immature enough To avoid touching themselves down there specifically to fool you into thinking that there is nothing wrong. Hence there's no more certain way than to fiddle with it a little bit until you can check the tightness yourself.ReactReply - NU

Nov 21, 2025No, definitely not. We had it in our birth plan, the crib in the hospital had a note and special ribbon saying no and YET we were asked twice per day if we were sure. I eventually said to a nurse that if we were asked again we would request she was removed from our room. Respect our decision. I understand when it's done for medical need (phismosis) or religious reasons, but don't get why people elect to have it done to their kids. It's a pointless surgery. But to each their own right!

Nov 25, 2025What you're doing is giving your opinion and not stating fact. I'm uncut, zero issues my whole life and that's all there is to it. So is my son, that's all there is to it. You're waxing lyrical .....stick to fact

Dec 4, 2025
What you're doing is giving your opinion and not stating fact. I'm uncut, zero issues my whole life and that's all there is to it. So is my son, that's all there is to it. You're waxing lyrical .....stick to fact
Much to your dismay, you'll have to understand that they are their kids, not your kids. It's up to them if they will perform preventative/elective/mandatory surgery as they and the *medical* advisors they choose. The medical training you see is important and it's the first thing intactivists attack. Telling everyone what how a conspiracy of corrupt doctors took their foreskins. It's no wonder half the intactivist movements are antivax you see. As to your anecdotal experience, it's unimportant. Nobody cares if your foreskin is fine. Nobody cares if you would know how to tell fine from problematic apart either. After all intactivists are known to promote the normalization of phimosis right to the point where prominent figures telling people it's fine to never open your foreskin in your life, get penis cancer and lose the whole thing. Thankfully there are statistical data, and that way we know the truth. Now closing, we do know intactivist organizations are comprised mainly of uncut men. There just aren't enough gullible cut men out there that you guys can brainwash into thining they are cripples after all. And it doesn't help that often you drive them to suicide. But can you please get out of the group in which you don't belong and only joined to spread propaganda and find more weak men to recruit? Or is it that you can't stop yourserlf until more kids take their own lives after internalizing your propaganda? Just look at your cause-justifies-the-means attitude. Look at the nazi communities you frequent where dissent means instant ban. What exactly are you trying to achieve here? At what cost?ReactReply - NUDec 5, 2025Yikes! .....to be so obsessed with genital mutilation is a bit alarming and your "reasoning" for doing it might perhaps be similar to other parts of society who believe that cutting off their young daughters clitoris, and partly sewing up them up, a practice known widely as FGM [Female Genital Mutilation], is also essential and a good thing. But not only do we know that to be untrue it also denies the child any choice. Is that good?ReactReply
- NUDec 8, 2025I think by definition, cutting off part of a male child's genitals is "genital mutilation". Whether you agree or not [about that statement/definition] it doesn't change the similarly between FGM and male circumcision because what is cutting off a foreskin if it isn't some measure of "genital mutilation"? If being circumcised is so important [for whatever reason] then how about allowing a male child to make that decision when they are old enough? Let him make his own decision when he is older, otherwise it seems that, just like FGM, it is simply the parents choosing. How many girls who have undergone genital mutilation do you think would choose to have it done if they were given the choice as adults?ReactReply

Dec 14, 2025Obsessed is the person that is entering a circumcision group to pick up a fight. You clearly cannot spend a second on the internet without satisfying your need to get controversial. I would also add that you're clearly a coward because I see no identifying anything on your profile. You just literally came in here to pick up a fight, because you're that level of a psycho.
- amputation plus disfigurement equals mutilation
- amputation is the objective part the disfigurement is subjective
- If it is okay to express personal opinions, and I refer to the disfigurement, then it's okay to say that natural penises look like deformed potatoes. - you don't see me stayrting discussions like that though, because unlike you, I have some class.
- I would also point out that cutting your hair or your nails is also an amputation. Removing a tumor is an amputation. fixing a droopy eyelid requires amputation as well. Also female genital mutilation is called that because it has a zero therapeutic value when done routinely on little girls. When done on adults, per their request, of course, and specific types of it are called vaginoplasty, or vaginal rejuvenation, or names like that, and nobody bats an eyelid.

Dec 15, 2025There is also no medical benefit to the majority of males to be circuncised. I also stated earlier that medically necessary is for phismosis - again 95% + of males don't suffer from this. Religious reasons, sure, you do you. As far as cleanliness, after the age of 11/12 the membrane that attaches the foreskin to the head of the penis detaches allowing it to retract easily and simply wash under it. I thought my son about this....incredible what having a conversation about hygiene can do for hygiene!!!! A lot of the feedback in here was given by a female (without a penis) and it was about her personal preferences....again, you can have those, but don't come at me or anyone else for giving opinions counter to yours. You want to cut part of your penis off, go right ahead, but it's an aesthetic thing and in the US a way to get an old surgeon, close to retirement easy money
