  • Early Spring Camping

5/16/2026 Second visit. The gravel road in is still narrow and a little rough, but doable. There are still some junky looking RV's and equipment parked at sites on the road. However, many of the long term sites were fixed up. Lots of new decorative plants and colored lights. Grounds have been cleaned up a lot. Still some work to do. Denis and crew were still working on getting set up for the summer. We camped for two nights in the tent area. Our Airstream fit site 5 very well. Site 5 has a great view of the valley below with lots of sun above. There were a few friendly campers and more day use…

Pros: The serious automatic gate worked well. Coin operated showers. Lots of "Portapoties" and one fully plumbed toilet facility.

Cons: Some junky RV on sites. Part of trail still need maintenance.

  • Day Visit Spring of 2026

    3.00

I visited Cedar Hills yesterday (Monday 04 May 2026) just for day use. It was a nice warm day with partially sunny sky. There was almost no activity. Dennis (the owner) said he had just opened for the season and was working hard to get things set up for the summer season. There was evidence of lots of work going on. The long gravel access road was passable but still rough. Work on the road was in progress. There were lots of RV's apparently in long term RV sites. Denis, the owner said the owner's typically come on weekends. The few unoccupied RV sites were small or extremely difficult to acces…

Pros: Quit, peaceful on week days. Good for lounging in the sun and listening to the birds and the wind. Things may change on holiday weekends starting with Memorial Day. Free of any clothing requirements.

Cons: Rough condition. No pool or lake. Hiking option is still to be determined.

  • A quiet, private time in nature

Cedar Hills is a fantastic, affordable nudist campground. I’ve tent camped here multiple times in the upper area and the sites are always spotless. Dennis is a great host and makes you feel right at home. I love visiting in the fall—it’s peaceful, the hiking is great, and the firewood is very reasonably priced. Plus, no bugs! I’ve met some wonderful people here and can’t wait to get back this year.

Pros: Beautiful scenery, Dennis's hospitality, Laid back vibes

Cons: Not a full on resort, The road leading up to and through the resort were tough for my sports car.

  • Rustic and basic but beautiful and friendly!

    5.00

I was lucky enough visit Cedar Hills twice last summer, spending a total of 9 days camping. IT was the first time I've ever gone to a nude campground and it was a wonderful experience. The tent sites are large and reasonably far apart, though primitive. No electricity or water, though water is freely available for the taking at the pavilion. The RV sites have hookups for both, however. Quarter-operated showers. A dollar gives you eight minutes, $1.25 ten. The clientele is primarily - though not exclusively - gay men. Saw a few straight couples walking around in the buff each day and I didn't a…

Pros: Beautiful, secluded campground perched on a hill above a beautiful valley. Welcoming, friendly people. Very reasonable rates for camping and wood. Dennis, the owner, is a very friendly and helpful host who also stays out of your way.

    Cons: No pool.

Had a great time here. Everyone was super friendly and the owner was beyond hospitable. It's a bit rustic, you won't find a pool or electricity or running water at the tent sites, but you won't need them!

Pros: small, friendly, out of the way

    Cons: no pool, no electricity
