Byron Shire Council revoked the official nude status of this beach in August 2024. It is a beach with plenty of secluded spots and is not a well patrolled beach, but the lack of official status does attract some risk of arrest and prosecution if found in the nude there. http://www.naturistdirectory.com/Australia/1426/North-Belongil-Beach

Road has been graded and is good....Met some hiking enthusiasts...just to let you know that we finally folded the "Tent"...xxxxr

One of the best nude beaches I think. Able to walk naked for ages along it. Be careful when swimming in the surf for exposed rocks. The roadway in is dirt and in poor condition, but the beach is worth the effort!

I rate this HIGHLY as it is the closest LEGAL nude beach to my home, approx 4hrs drive, but WELL WORTH THE DRIVE - the peaceful and relaxed nature of North Belongil is what makes it so enjoyable to me, LETS SEE YOU ALL THERE SOON!! Make sure to say hi!
Pros: LEGAL STATUS! closest LEGAL beach to QLD!
Cons: terrible condition of the road in, but this keeps it kinda secluded and not over-populated
