  This is truly a wonderful place to visit. beautiful views of Lake Tahoe's north Shore. The hike into the cove and back out is a bit tough but well worth the effort.

  Pros: great people beautiful location and views and it's at Tahoe who could want any more.

  Cons: The hike in and out is difficult but worth it.

  Secret Cove is beautiful. Everything you love about being outdoors on Lake Tahoe and the seclusion desired for a peaceful and free day. The water is cold but we went in for a dip and once the cold shock wore off we stayed in for 40 minutes. The beach is not large and there were at least 40 people there the day we went (25 SEP 2015). People came and went and about 90 percent were nude. A few clothed people did show up. Everyone seemed friendly enough but I did not get a chance to really talk to anyone other than to say hi.   So on one of my weekly beach excursion, Miss X and I venture to Lake Tahoe. So as usual we researched and went searching for "The Secret Cove" Day 1: We first had to park at limited parking that was was about a mile north of the main parking access to the beach along Highway 28. Parking a Porsche 911 in the mountains is not a fun feeling... We hike south about a mile to the main parking lot on the lake side. Make your pit stop here because there is nothing else until you get to secret cove. We then make a beautiful 30 min hike to the entry to Secret Cove. I say entry because there is…

  Both figuratively and literally...from the beautiful hike down to the gorgeous turquoise, crystal clear waters then to run in those icy cold... WOW, SO ALIVE!!

  Pros: scenery, secluded, stunning views...
