  Go few times a year, as long as I can get someone to go with. Nothing fancy at all, but I'm down to earth. Never had problems with my service dog, and always feel welcome! Lots of room, and places to walk around. Hiking trail lets you walk through a very nice landscaped desert setting! Been going here for 7 or 8 years, not much changes.Staff always friendly. Doesn't matter if I'm clothed or naked, they are helpful. I would love to buy a small place,just not easy.

  Pros: Friendly people, nice large pools. Covered area if it's over 110, or you get a bad burn. You can still enjoy being naked.

  Cons: I always get rooms, wish they were newer, but most the time I'm there I am outside. I just feel if it was a little nicer I could get more friends to go with me. Want to buy a place, they have some strict rules, being disabled and dont drive makes it hard.

  So my first (and so far only) experience with social nudism was here at Shangri La on a slow-ish Sunday. I arrived first thing in the morning and stayed most of the day. There weren't a lot of people out and about in the morning, but I got breakfast at the cafe and saw a few people in the dining room at the clubhouse. I didn't have any cash with me, but they let me start a tab to pay in the office by debit card, which was very kind of them. The food was really good.   We tried several clothing-optional resorts/campgrounds/AIRBNB and by far we fell in love with SLR! The people here welcome the visitors with open arms and immediately immerse you into the activities. The office staff could not be friendlier and truly want you to have an excellent visit and to return frequently. The well-equipped store is perfect for the "forgotten items at home" and the cafe is home cooking and in a simple word delicious.   I went to Shangri La as a guest back in the 1960s and finally returned this year. Over the last few months I have been to the ranch for day trips and found the facilities very clean, the people friendly, and I enjoyed my visits. The walking trails around the ranch are easy, even for a partially disabled senior like me.

  Pros: Clean, comfortable, friendly.

  Cons: I wish the snack bar/café was open more.

  First time at a nude resort and it was great we both loved the place people were friendly and made us feel welcome ! pool area was great and the staff was great !

  I'm usually traveling for work but I've been stuck in the Phoenix area and have been staying at Shangri La for about 4 weeks now and I'm loving it there. I am always looking forward to getting off work and getting back there for the rest of the day. Weekends have been awesome although it's been very hot but the two pools and all the great people have been very fun to hang out with.

  Staff at front desk not the most friendly but very efficient and speedy in helping get you checked in. Had just left Mira Vista and found the surroundings a little different but very nice. Beautiful pool area. Very much an RV environment.

  My wife and I stopped by for our first visit here. Very quiet with temperatures in the lower 60`s. The hot tub was a great hangout and the volleyball pool was heated so we spent some time there. The facility had more of a campground feel. Met some very nice people.

  Pros: Bare Buns Cafe open on weekends

  Cons: Sauna was out of order during our visit
