I drove the 400 miles to gunnison on july 5th and and I can say it's really not worth the trip if most of the beach is closed. The small amount of beach left open was packed wall to fence and I really can't say I enjoyed myself very much....

How late are people allowed to stay at the beach? Is it 10 pm when the park closes? Do people stay later than that?

Can anyone tell me is the park entrance fee still $15 and is the snack shack on the beach open?
