We have reservations in Long Branch NJ for the 24-26 of May. Going to spend my birthday on the beach. I hope the weather will cooperate. I know the water temp. is cold but a little sun can make for a beautiful day. Regardless I will be at the beach...

Though the water's still in the 50's, if air temps are in the mid 80's and sunny, I'd consider a day trip. Does anybody know when they fence off the southern portion of the beach for the "nesting shorebirds"?
