Alexandria Bay

Has anyone been to A Bay recently? Are they still having police issues? Planning on heading there on Friday 13 Jan.

Apparently the Coastal Track is closed between Dolphin Point and Granite Bay for upgrade works. The website says an alternative route shall be available but is light on the specifics. Does anyone have on-the-ground experience to share?
