Being Transgender and Nudist
Hey there I'm Yanni aka Priestess. I am a proud Nudist who happens to be a Black Transwoman. I want to serve a reminder: A TRANSPERSON BEING NAKED ON THIS SITE IS NOT AN INVITE FOR SEXUAL PROPOSITION!!!! Stop sexualizing transgender people YES EVEN IN NUDISM. Just stop it!!! We are here to enjoy nudism just like everyone else. When you sexualize transpeople within nudism you're doing everything that nudism is against. I just had to remove someone because they wanted to meet but then suggested sexual activity. What happened to hanging out nude without the expectation of sex? Transpeople are human beings just like our cisgender counter parts. This also speaks to how general society views transgender people, as sexual objects. Our gender is not a sexuality. Remember that.
It is a sad thing - that even some of the most ardent supporters of the right to exercise social freedom from clothing, assuming they accept the idea that any individual has a choice to be whomever they like - a portion of these nudists interact with an individual who's visible genitalia doesn't fit in with who they are on the inside, and then they wrongly assume that this misperceived incongruence means the person is living a life geared toward sex. There is no correlation at all. It is ignorant to sexualize someone because the challenging, utterly personal choice that person has made - to be their true, inner self - doesn't align with someone else's shallow, baseless assumption. It has the acrid taste of discrimination, something nudists deal with constantly, with more people in the clothed world than not assuming anyone who wants to go bare socially is only in it for the ease of procuring sexual engagement.
My wish for the world is that anyone who calls themself a nudist (who isn't simply wandering the earth blindly following their penis/clitoris/etc. around to the next hole or prong to mount) accepts and supports the idea that just because your parts are left unhidden in public, it doesn't mean you want to bang everything in sight.
I hear you...but one thing I can say is that no matter what your sexuality are or which gender you belong to, there are a lot in this site that will sexualize everything. Due to the poor administration of this site, the admin doesn't have the workforce nor the desire to really screen the members here anymore. Most of them are too quick as well in banning people from the chat room but that doesn't removed the perverted ones that are lurking in this site and looking for every opportunity to express their perverseness to anyone. I hope that this will not discourage you to stay in this site although a lot of the previous members already left as they are also tired of all this BS. Like I said, it happens to all of us.
I am sorry you had to deal with that completely inappropriate behavior. You'd think of all places that a nudist space wouldn't care what body parts someone had, sadly that isn't the case. There will always be those people who come into a space and a community with the wrong ideas in their mind, and nudist get enough wrong ideas tossed our way by the clothed community as is. It's that same mindset of sexualizing someone, be it a nude person or a trans person, that gets the nudist community as a whole a bad rap about being sexual deviants. I hope you called them out on their less than acceptable behavior right before blocking them.
Have you discussed your experience with any of the cis women on the site? They also report *lots* of inappropriate sexual interest, although their sexual trolls likely wouldn't refer to their gender identity. The site, does, sadly allow and rather facilitate the sexualization of everybody. I'm a man in my seventies, and whenever I put up a pic, however interesting I think the context is, almost all comments are physical and a remarkable percent are about my genitalia.
You're right to be upset, but please don't take it to heart. The internet is a tough neighborhood, and TN is not providing a very good shelter these days.
