We have to fly that long to get to most places beyond eastern Asia!
Yes I know that it is a different perspective. When our niece and nephew mentioned going to Bali and Vanuatu it sounds so exotic, but they've relatively close to Australia compared to most other places. We are in Australia visiting family and it was 20 hours flight time plus a connection.
