RE: Why do people cancel their membership here?

Well, I can kind of relay to that! There are some "know it all" persons on this forum, just look at the numer of posts they have. Almost like spaming!

LOL! You'll find that those with the highest post counts have been on the site a long time, some since it's beginnings. Those with the higher post counts are active, participating members who post frequently to the forums and to the groups they belong to. Be thankful for those who post frequently - there is no FAQ on the site - except for those created by the "active" posters.

Aquanaturist, you've only been a member for 7 months - let's see where your post count is if you're still a member in a year, 2 years, etc. While you don't post often on the forum, I know you're fairly active in the groups you belong to - you'll be surprised at how quickly your post count adds up. And then, you too may be considered a "know it all", receive a supernudist cape and even a secret decoder ring!

Jen
How many posts till I get my secret decoder ring and do I have to drink Ovaltine?

LMAO! You only have to drink the Ovaltine if the decoder ring is not in the Cracker Jack Box!

Hahahaha...but I am! I was young back then...but I do remember!

Actually, Tom is probably the best person to ask this question of as he has gotten fed up andcanceled his accountseveral times over the years, only to return...so he could best answer both questions. I like to think he returns because he misses my scrabble game and my emoticon kisses to him!

Jen
p.s.May I have some more Ovaltine, Tom, PLEEEEEEASE???

RE: Why do people maintain their membership here?

Why does everyone else stay?
Jen

Not to sound like a "stuckup", but good people cause me to stay here. Good people like Steve and yourself.

RE: Why do people maintain their membership here?

Not many people on here are true nudists! I have not met a single person , or even talked to anyone on here. I think this site is just a way to put nude pics on the web. I am a real sincere nudist, and yes I have pics on, but Geez, I just want to meet nudist friends near me! Prove me wrong, but no one here is sincere about connecting to others.
We can verify that there are people here who are really true nudists. We have met some people on the site who we have become friends with. We have also met people at nudist events who were already members of TN and they are now on our Friends list. There has to be a little give and take when personally meeting people who we have only met on the site. Trust is very important when it comes to meeting other nudists.

Shock that certain members of a certain elite group on the site are not what they would have you believe.
Was this meant to be a tease, or do you have facts to back it up?

RE: Why do people cancel their membership here?

I prefer a ''know it all'' that says the right things based on many many years of naturist lifestyle (not just for short recreation periods or home exciting moments)
Then others seeking to provoke or initiating posts on manhood anxieties or fantasies. How could we get rid of those ones....

RE: Why do people maintain their membership here?

I just want to meet nudist friends near me!
In your beautiful state there are three "official" nudist venues: Rock Haven Lodge in Murfreesboro; Cherokee Lodge in Crossville; and NOPE There may be non-landed clubs in the state, although a cursory search found none.
TN's "Nudists" listing has 854 profiles for members in Tennessee, so there are bound to be some near you. However, a common complaint seen here is that trying to get together with others in a social setting is akin to trying to pull a molar with tweezers. People tend to be cautious if not downright wary of meeting people based solely on a Web contact.
A good way to get your feet wet is to take a day trip to Cherokee (snip) and see what's happening. Depending on how far east in TN you are, it might be a several-hour trip, but if they know you're coming and you go expecting a good time, you'll have a blast.
Please note there are only two nudist parks in TN: Cherokee & Rock Haven. I wish both were closer. There are probably at least one or two nonlanded clubs as well. Serendipity in northeast GA might not be that far as well.

Monkey, we've had the honor of making many nudist friends on this site and have had the opportunity to meet well over 30 members in person and many more than that if and when the opportunity rises we will gladly meet with open arms. It takes time and active participation to get to know someone well enough "online" to actually meet in person, regardless of the site you're on.

Jen
(Cheri - did you catch that? )

Yes, Jen, I did. LOL

To the OP, I have thought about leaving during the time I've been here, but I would definitely miss my on-line friends. There are a few people here with whom I've communicated with online and a few I've met in person as well.
