Is same sex spa considered nudism?
Take the extra stuff out of the link and it works:

In general, same sex spa is something in-between. It is social nude interaction, but excludes parts of population by default. So I wouldn't really care to define it either way. Anyway, most things work well without being defined.
Myself, I do not have a habit to visit such places, as a) rarely without female company and b) would like to know beforehand which spa would be kosher and which just a gay make-out spot.
Spa World is definetly not a Gay Make Out Spot, LoL that's for sure.
Bring your female companion next time, everyone is welcome and spend the day as do every last Saturday of the month.
Have a happy new year and may all yer wishes come true . . .

I'd venture to say the same sex spa/bathhouse is one oflongest standingculturally accepted forms of social nudism out there.
yes indeed I do agree... the bad side of a same sex spa is that always you can find another person that confuse your nudity with the necessity of have sex... but its a great place to have a nice and relaxed day nude
I think "social nudity" as opposed to nudism is a really good way to put it. Here in Los Angeles we have some fantastic Korean spas which are frequented by both the Korean community and non-Koreans. Everyone is expected to be nude in the same-gender bathing areas (I've seen attendants actually yell at people who come in wearing bathing suits ), so it's definitely an integral part of the experience although not the sole purpose. A lot of us enjoy both the getting-clean part and being naked with others -- both are part of the enjoyment of the place.
