Getting certified
The rules on submitting your picture to be certifiedstate your gender must be obvious. Am I being stupid but do theyrequire a fully nude pic? There's no way my face could ever bemistaken as female!!
Yes, you must submit a nude picture along with a clothed picture,
both holding your TN sign. It's not a perfect system, but weeds out
most fakes from becoming certified.

I believe it says that while you must be nude, you don't need to give them a full frontal if you're not comfortable. Holding the sign over your midsection on a head to toe nude shot will likely work.
So yes, one image nude, one image clothed, both with the sign in full view.
The nude picture (I suspect) is not to verify your gender as much as it is an attempt to weed out those that are not actually a nudist.
As I understand it, it's hard to find an image on the web of someone both fully clothed and naked, and also add the sign to both. I think it just makes it far harder to counterfeit the required images.
Many thanks for the info everyone. Really appreciated and really valuable insight. On a different topic, and one that really bugs me is about having to pay for more than just the basic site, this is social media after all and I think it's a bit out of order to charge people. Social Media should be free, porn sites charge money.
But as I said, that's a different topic altogether.
Regarding certification, I feel that it doesn't provethat they are who they say they are in the picture on theirprofile. For example, I can use my own clothed and nude pics forcertification, and once I am certified, post a few pictures of BradPitt and say that's me.It also doesn't prove you are a nudist. Since you don't have topost the certified nude pictures of you in your profile, allcertification proves is that you were willing to take and send in anude and clothed photo of yourself holding a sign. The only thing certification is good for is to prove someone is thegender (male, female, couple) that they say they are.
Certification is notproof of being a nudist/naturist.
Certification is only proof that someone made up a name,
wrote the
name on a piece of paper and took a picture of someone,
a man or a
woman, holding that piece of paper.

Ya.... I'm pretty sure that is what Creativeusernames was saying in
his post. Not sure why it needed posted again in different
words. But, I do agree with it.

I disagree. I can take a picture of a female friend holding the
piece of paper and open an account claiming to be a woman.
I'm only suggesting, do not put your trust in someone just because they are certified
