RE: Why do you like to be nude?

Love the feel of the breeze and the sun. Especially if I am in the comapny of others that feel the same way.

RE:Why do you like to be nude?

I like to say that It's my nature. Everyone has different tastes, likes, desires, and dislikes that are unique to them. That is why there is so much variety in the world. Everybody wants different things.
If it was up to me to decide what is good for everyone, nudism would be allowed everywhere; there would be no grand opera; neckties would be illegal; professional baseball would be outlawed; and dozens of other things would not exist.
The problem with nudism is that it really is a part of people's nature but they refuse to try it to see if they might like it. Many people treat food products the same way. They refuse to try something new because of some self imposed or external mental block. I always say to try new things because you'll never know if you like it or not unless you try it.

It's just a free feeling. If someone doesn't get it they may never will

My fiance used to ask me the same question when we started dating. "Why do you like to spend so much time naked?" I tried explaining it to her in many different ways: freedom, relaxation, comfort, naturalness and habit. But she didn't get it. She started spending time nude with me, but it was mostly to humor me because she still didn't get it.

Then we went to St Martin and she agreed to try skinny-dipping. And she got it! She told me she never felt quite as free as when she swam naked. This "revelation" piqued her interest in being nude in other areas; sleeping, doing activities at home. Because she "got it" while skinny-dipping, her mind opened up to nudist living.

So yes: you can explain your heart out; but you can't get the truth of nudism across until they give it a go and find it for themselves.

Everything. Currently painting a room. Haven't gotten a drop of paint in my clothes in years. Household chores are much more enjoyable done in the buff.

To be honest, originally it was daring. There was an excitement about doing something socially unconventional. However, now that my wife doesn't mind me being nude around the house or in the backyard that aspect isn't there anymore. Also seeing so many people on TN for whom nudity is a normal part of life make nudity more acceptable. Now I simply just like it. I like just being able to sit outside in the sun having my morning coffee while nude.
I also generally don't like being told what to do and what I can and can't do. Being nude in and around my own house is a way of saying I'll do what like.

The medicine I take for my RA arthritis makes me feel 20 degrees warm then my wife. Started to wear less and ended up wearing nothing. I am now trying to make my backyard nudist friendly. I am always nude inside useless we have company.

It's like many other things. I enjoy working with metal, melting it, shaping it, cutting it, making practical things that work. Many people couldn't care less and might not understand why I enjoy it no matter how thoroughly I try to explain it.

All I can say is it feels good to feel the breeze, the sunshine, to get tanned all over instead of having white areas. Clothing feels restrictive, hot, uncomfortable, the warmer the weather the worse it gets.

Then there's the mental aspect, stress relief to some extent. And the aspect of spiritual balance. Ridding the mind of the porn attraction by getting used to nakedness in common life, which is very beneficial. And it's that aspect the led me to going naked a lot more than I used to and promoting it anytime someone is willing to hear and an opportunity comes up to mention it.

I can identify with the above as I've always tried to find my own way (usually the long way around). Putting aside the obvious comfort /totally enjoyable feelings of sun and wind on bare skin, going naked always makes me feel like I'm thumbing my nose at those that wish to control every aspect of our lives. It's just my way to reject Madison Avenue's push to make us look, eat, drink, think, etc. the way they would like.
