Exasperating Chat experiences
Just left the chat room thoroughly drained of energy after chatting with a newbie with all sorts of breathless questions about seeing naked people. I guess I could have just ignored him or whatever but I thought I'd try to be patient and kind and answer his questions the best I could. His profile said nothing. No pictures, no location, nothing. I guess a free member and probably a kid. This guy was flabbergasted at seeing naked people acting normally.
When I was young it was way before the internet and I was able to gather quite a bit of knowledge about nudism even back then. It just seems to me our next generation is going backwards with the body shame game. Parents fault I guess.
Some people see and take the time to consider the real reasons and the real philosophy about nudism. Some people just see naked bodies and equate it to sex. I don't know how to reach these people. For many it is a hopeless cause. Very sad.
Been there, done that. It is my belief that if there were a primer on nudism that it would do no good. As a previous person said, "they are not taught to think", unfortunately they may not have any sense of value to which they may compare.
Least you answered his questions in a positive manner, hopefully some of what you said will sink in! We all had to start somewhere and at least this is a site where people can understand the benefits of naturism and see it in a positive light!
Yah, in spite of all the boasted superior education, it's all going backward. I was home schooled and taught to think for myself, to research a topic if I wanted to know more about it. My mother was a constant researcher of things that caught her interest. I benefited from her work and continued it myself. I could make quiet a list of the topics we've dug into and learned about. Naturism is one of my latest ones. Oh I've enjoyed naked woods wandering a long time, but never understood how good it is for our minds to get used to common nakedness in every day life. Naked is all about sex in modern life, and that is a severe perversion of how it should be, and once was not so long ago.
Oh, forheavenssake, it's not kids-these-day.... NO generation has ever been particularly eager to do research. This is a social site, and finding someone to ask your questions of is rather the point, whether or not there's a FAQ section.
I don't doubt that most of the older guys approaching a younger guy (let alone younger woman) on the site get around to something sexual - this is the internet, not real life, and that phenomenon doesn't say much about the world of real-life nudism. In which, really, us older folks who grew up with enforced nudity are no more likely to equate nudity with sex than are younger folks whose main exposure to nudity is porn.
