La Rochelle
I've never stayed at either so can make no comment on them but Camping Naturiste du Port in the Venise Vert and Camping le Petit Dauphin near La Rochelle seem to be the nearest at 25 and 50 miles respectively.
Web sites https://www.camping-naturiste-du-port.com/index_gb.html and https://www.le-petit-dauphin.com/ respectively.
From my limited knowledge of the area I would suggest Camping Naturiste du Port as the better for an all round holiday as the Venise Vert is lovely with great boat trips on its canals while Le Petit Dauphin is better for naturist beaches.
Hi Dave, hope you are both well. La Rochelle is lovely, some great places to eat and drink harbourside. If you have some time to spare and you fancy popping over the toll bridge, Ile de Re is quite special. The islands best beaches are along the southern edge, including unofficial naturist beaches at Rivedoux Plage and La Couarde-sur-Mer; and around the western tip (northeast and southeast of Phare-des-Baleines). Eating out harbourside at La Flotte and St Martin-de -Re is quite wonderful. Enjoy your trip. Chris and Jen
I have just seen a review of Camping du Port which indicates that it is not up to the standard of the best French sites and is about an hour's drive from the nearest nude beaches.
However the reviewer stayed there for two weeks rather than moving on elsewhere.
