Artistic Nude Photography Video
Unlike YouTube, which prohibits nudity, Vimeo allows nude artistic work to be posted on their site, as long as it's not porn. I saw some videos other nude photographers had made of their still images and wanted to give that a try. This was my first attempt. I made a video "slideshow" using photos from a session I did. Even though I'd had these stills on my Flickr page for awhile, more people saw them in a week on Vimeo as a video, than in the whole time I'd had them posted as stills. It also caught the eye of a magazine editor who then asked to publish them. (They are in this month's September 2020 issue of Go Naked! magazine.) I hope to do more of these as I think it's a neat way to present still photos and want to encourage other photographers of artistic nude work to consider this as a way of presenting your images to a larger audience. Vimeo allows genitals to be shown and certainly allows nude images in public and private settings. There are a number of film maker artists who have posted work, and a number of videos of stage and performance art involving nudity.
I've shot a few nude performance videos and one video of a nude photo shoot that were posted on Vimeo for quite some time. No longer there, but it is a very useful platform.
