Good to be vague, that way people have to ask what it means, and the owner can choose to tell them or not, according to whether they want to questioner to know they are into nudism or not. But other naturists know what it means. Until it gets in use widespread and the general population come to understand what it means.

I recently posted this symbol on Facebook with reference to a recent holiday but not mentioning our nudity while there just to see if anyone recognised it. Although many friends liked and commented on the post, not one person recognised the symbol.

That is a compliment! By looking so generic, the Naturist Symbol is safe to use all over the world. There are other stickers for people who want to share openly they are naturist/nudist.
