New Trail Work and Extended Parking Areas

Ongoing work going along the Redington pass area. Visited the weekend before and some of the trail to the beach area had the flowers/brush cleared out. Work already started on parking areas and new trail.

Curious what long term impacts this will have. Some rumors of a visitors center as well but didnt see anything official (please share if you have any info)

Wow if that happens things will change !
But I wonder if it could be for the better like Hippie Hollow near Austin Texas. Large acessable parking and trails.
We can hope !

RE:New Trail Work and Extended Parking Areas

Anyone planning to visit: While the parking lot work is ongoing, parking is restricted to *only* the river side of Redington Road. There is plenty of signage with printouts of the local ordnance making the parking restriction legal, but it's lengthy and not entirely clear. (A companion law on the other side of the signs prohibits camping during construction; some visitors only read that side of the sign, and miss seeing the parking restriction information on the other side.) Bottom line: Make sure you park on the same side of the road where the trailheads down to the riverbed are (and where the vast majority of other vehicles are parked). Otherwise, you risk getting a ticket, or worse, getting towed.
