RE:Is this the end of TN?

I'm not sure how you guys are seeing bots, fakes, and scumbags on your feed unless you have friended them. All I see are activities from people I have friended or groups I have joined. I don't accept friend requests from just anybody who asks. I check their page first, and if it's private, I don't accept. The sheer number of fakes, bots and assorted scumbags that appear on the Feed daily are ruining it for the purist types.

There is a "site" feed. By default, it lists all new accounts, new certifications, and new media posted. You can filter to show just new accounts, just new certifications, just new photos, or just new videos if you want. This is separate from your profile feed that only shows activity from your "Friends".

RE:Is this the end of TN?

I'd rather have a "real" True Nudists site than a True Nude & Lewd site, which is whatTN is becoming. If admin redirected all the TN sex seeking members/applicants to the True Swinger site, where they belong, this site could return to what it was originally - a place for true nudists/naturists to form friendships and network amongst themselves. I'm in my 70's and rarely does a day go by without me receiving friend requests from young women with not certified and empty (fake) profiles. TN is becoming just another sex seeking site. Money seems to be more important than the principles of nudism/naturism, - the very principles that convinced me this was the site to join as a true nudist.

99% of the problems could be solved with two simple actions:

1. All new accounts are read only until certified to include uploading photos.
2. Profile and background photos can only be selected from the users gallery of pre-moderated and approved photos.

@homeclothesfree....the numbers are in Australian dollars...i m not a developer, just someone who has researched, how much it will cost to launch his site on own server...

As an ex DBA, $2,000-$5,000 seems a bit light for database setup. That probably wouldn't even cover the database design.

A new site would need to be well designed, otherwise you are just patching it all the time to make it work the way intended.

No website is perfect. No members are perfect (I, myself am far from it). But I cannot say I'm not getting my "Lifetime Membership's" worth.Sharon and I have made many friends here -- some of whom have visited our home, some others we have met up with at nudist resorts -- or even a cafe for coffee. Still others we have exchanged phone #s and email addresses.Fact is, you just don't know who's a fake until they stand you up for meeting, -- or get chummy real fast then ask for money (or sex, or personal porn pix). Wouldn't you agree? On the other hand, I have had many communications (TN PMs) with a hundred couples (and a few single men and women) -- great chats and lengthily discussions on a broad range of topics. If they're fake, they're interesting and entertaining nevertheless. If purging fakes is a good thing, so too would be purging members who have not accessed the TN site in the past 5 years. Maybe, not purge, but set aside as "inactive." I often search for members in a certain area, say, within a 100 mile radius of my zip code. Out of 227 members, only 43 have been on TN during the past 12 months.Derek

JohnJean, I agree with you and think you bring up some valid points!

I have just joined NaturistHub and so far it seems good. I don't know enough about the site so say much but it looks like a keeper. There appears to be several folks from TN there already. I'll press on and see how it goes. Maybe, in the meantime, we'll see improvement here.

RE:Is this the end of TN?

I totally agree. My husband and I both joined there. I uploaded 2 pics, accepted a few friend requests from people I had all ready befriended here. The site members are 99% men. I've got close to 100 friend requests that will remain unanswered.

I have 529 (and counting) friend requests here. WHO has hot time for that? I lead a very full, busy life and this I used to go into chat almost every evening and read on cam, I rarely have the energy after a couple hours at the gym, a cocktail, dinner,(which my husband usually prepares... But I'm stuck with the cleanup). I also do all the financial management for our household.

I would never have time to manage and moderate a site like this.

My advice is to filter out the games yourself. Ask a few questions. Block people who are pushy. This site is far from perfect. I have 3 lifetime accts here and I'm not going anywhere.

If the only naturist discussions going on in the forums is how badly the site run then Id say it is the end.

It must be frustrating for TT to read these comments, but as they never reply then theyll not acknowledge our frustrations.
