Have you always exhibited shy traits or is that something you gained once you began to become a woman, at puberty?

Many kids are naturally nudists but some get to that stage of physical and mental change and start to worry about their outward appearance more. It always makes me happy to see the kids of nudist parents fight that tendency and get through it with their more positive body image intact.

Changing shyness over time is an interesting question!

I was never one of those kids that was permitted to bathe nude at the beach on the basis that one could if one was young enough. Bathers all the way for me! But even then I was a little shy in my Speedos. It didn't change throughout school and only my first girlfriend's insistence that a proper swim brief was necessary got me to the point where I was happy for people to see me in as little as that and even discern the profile beneath. My suits progressively got smaller after that until they disappeared altogether when the situation permitted.

Received wisdom is that all children would remain nudists if not browbeaten out of it by their parents and prudish society in general.

Ah the perennial question - is nudism conditioned out of us by society or do we have an innate element that makes us cover up....many studies reveal it's the latter and it's deeply linked to the gestation period and the need for two humans to raise a child. Our innate desire to cover up effectively lowers our risk of straying once we've conceived a child! That's also putting aside our learned behaviour that clothes protect us....
I love being a nudie but also great to be educated and know what drives us!

I wonder how I would have turned out had I been permitted or even encouraged to pay nude on the beach as a young child...

Or even in the backyard wading pool.

I think Mark Twain said it best: "Adam and Eve entered the world naked and unashamed - naked and pure-minded. And no descendant of theirs has ever entered it otherwise. All have entered it naked, unashamed, and clean in mind. They entered it modest. They had to acquire immodesty in the soiled mind, there was no other way to get it."

RE:A shy nudist at home is less shy feelings and I will be more open

I love open play and conversation while nude at home to be more casual. It is wonderful to enjoy the play, and feelings when chatting from home, or more, with others It is so enjoyable to be less self-conscious, and more open, and able to enjoy the moments of feeling as much as we can. The highest levels of open moments bond people that are like minded for higher and higher levels .
