Nude in open cars?
I have driven into the Texas country in just a thong without incident. There were a couple of periods of slow traffic but they were uneventful. I don't think I was noticed, or if it was noticed that I wasn't completely nude. I suspect most people are in closed vehicles, which seems like a very low risk situation.
Does "open car" refer to a convertible? Or a car with the windows open? I drove nude in a convertible one time on a two lane highway, but eventually put the top up because I can't tolerate too much sun. It was nice, but a little unnerving because of the exposure. I drive nude on long trips in a sedan fairly often. Very comfortable.
I love trucks. Not just because they are practical and handy for pulling my trailers, but because they sit up higher than most vehicles. I have gotten out measuring sticks, measured angles etc. If you are in a standard size pickup, it is impossible for anyone in a shorter vehicle to see in. All you have to worry about is trucks taller than yours, or pedestrians who get within arms reach of the door.
A little anecdote. Last summer I was driving through downtown in my birthday suit, and stopped for a light. As it happened I stopped right beside an occupied car parked on the curb. (I did not know this of course). But suddenly, the occupant exited the vehicle, and due to the nature of the street, she was close enough for me to hand her a cup of coffee, and my window was down. She looked in, and I KNOW she saw, but to her credit, she did not react. But she whispered to her male companion, and both looked at me and smiled. He even gave me a thumbs up gesture! That was a close one. lol

When I was in Florida last year, someone mentioned that it is legal to be nude in any car in that state, including a convertible.
I'm yet to encounter anyone alighting from adjacent parked car whilst queued in traffic - I'm not sure how that would go down for me!
Nearby pedestrians have never seemed to be a problem, even with windows down. No-one really seems to look. I'm sure that would be different in my convertible, however, and I was very nervous when I did try it despite quiet conditions. Conversely with only a thong on, I felt totally fine with the roof down although that was admittedly at night.
Perhaps I should push the bravery factor a little.

I have never driven my convertible with the top down nude or in a thong. but sometimes do so in just a tan through swim brief.
When I bought my first convertible, a friend who know I like to keep clothing to a minimum asked me if I was going to drive it in a just a swim brief. I replied, "probably not, since I am sitting down I can just wear a thong. The opposite of what I have actually done.
The tail end of our aouthern summer and this thread meant I succumbed to the temptation and just did a short nighttime drive with the roof down. Quite nice, although I mainly stuck to residential streets and avoided intersections with traffic lights. Light traffic expect for a turn off an arterial road onto a local street where I had to wait under illumination for a passing block of traffic to clear.
Quite pleasant, and I was way less nervous than the previous (first) time I tried roof-down nude driving. Still not sure about daring to use controlled intersections or daylight hours, especially in a little Miata that stands out in a sea of SUVs and pick-ups.

Yes, almost every vehicle is higher so it is easy to see you.

I never have either, but I do have an interesting story involving someone alighting from a parked car.
Once at Gunnison, I drove there with the top down wearing just a tan through swim brief, as usual.
While I was in the parking lot sitting in the driver's seat and putting the top up, someone backed his vehicle into the spot next to me.
He was wearing an very small loincloth, and while he was sitting and later standing, it provided legal coverage.
However, in the transition, everything was exposed for a short time.
We chatted for a minute about my convertible and since I was ready to head to the beach and he was still gathering his stuff. so I started out.
When I got to a point where I was reasonably sure that I was out of sight of the road, I stopped to remove the swim brief. He caught up to me and was already nude.
