Fake profiles
Is anything being done about all the fake profiles on here?
Its so bad, especially for those purporting to be women, that Im wondering if there is actually any point in using the site.
Many of them are very obvious. User names often, but certainly not always, start with Naturist_ nudierudy_ nudie_ they will send friend requests (sadly, genuine women simply dont initiate here) and immediately try to take you offline to 3rd party chat apps, they will claim to be in crypto or porn, they will get sexual very quickly, they will mention children in their bio. Their profile photo will be overtly sexual, they have no or very few photos.. if I can identify them why cant the website admin ID and remove them?
Although I dont agree I understand why the site owners may not want to make ID or verification at sign up as a requirement but at the very least there needs to be a more efficient way of removing these profiles or stopping them signing up in the 1st place.
Im not sure what the motivation is. I suspect some are just perv men and peadophiles using female/couple profiles to get access. Im also sure some of the more vulnerable or naive members have probably been scammed as a result of going to 3rd party chat apps.
Unfortunately there are so few certified users that only interacting with them also renders the site useless, especially if you are a straight male and dont want to spend your time talking with other men, most of which, sooner or later start getting sexual.
There are no viable alternatives to TN but surely it can be a better experience than it is currently?
I generally ignore any account that is not either paid or certified, or doesn't have a history of legitimate posts. You can't really judge by the user name as those are auto-generated now and I suspect most don't realize they can (and should) change it, especially before trying to certify. A good barometer also is how many "friends" they have and how fast they accumulate them.

Agreed. I routinely decline any friend requests from people who either aren't certified or have engaged in some sort of dialog with me on the forum, and I say so on my profile. I figure that if a person cares enough about me to want me for a friend, then they'll have read the profile and know what my rules are.
I have been wondering the same thing regarding fake profiles. Dont the owners or moderators of the groups have access to delete posts that are obviously fake? If so then I feel they need to step up and do their responsibility in moderating their group and the posts. I question whether I even want to do a paid subscription to this site. The continuous and growing fake posts are going to chase away the true nudists that are on this site for information and legitimate connections which would then certainly be a downfall of the site. If owners/moderators of groups dont have that access to delete posts from fake profiles then they should be granted that access if at all possible.
I stopped wondering a long time ago, if the owner were concerned about fake profiles. The "Flag a Fake" thread in this section has over 1,300 replies, and some single replies have hundreds 9f usernames flagged. So you do the math, and it seems pretty obvious that they don't. They brag about having over 500,000 members, but I doubt that even 10 percent are actually legit. All these "fake" registrations, and dozens more joining every day.
I don't care about certified accounts. I look at profiles, and how they're filled out, or not. Are they actually adding content to the forum, or are they running in the background collecting friends and never posting. Are their profile pictures legit, or something copied from somewhere on the net (usually from a porn site). I get bombarded by friend requests all the time, and I review and pretty much reject all of them. In all honesty, I think it would be great idea, if none us could even make friend request until we've posted a minimum amount of times on the forum. The same would be true for send private messages.
This is exactly why I think the ownership accept fake profiles, to falsely inflate membership and to remove them would take time = money.
However if the membership were smaller but largely genuine it would be a better experience and Im sure theyd have more paying members = money!
The trouble with requiring x forum posts etc before enabling friend requests and private messages is that a lot of genuine internet users dont like to post publicly for all sorts of reasons.
Perhaps a simple solution would be to only let paid up subscribers send friend requests, post in forums and send private messages.
Theres certainly some pretty simple solutions but I suspect the actual genuine user base that are currently using the site currently is probably only in the hundreds, certainly not the hundreds of thousands and the ownership are blinded by vanity..
I've been scammed by a man who claimed to love me not knowing he was a scammerSomething should be done to this people
Not really ready to believe this one. The user has been here for two months, collected almost 50 friends, never posted on the forum until now, and has a profile picture from a porn site.
I really don't see a problem with a minimum post requirement. The site is supposed to be a way for "true nudists" to find like minded people. I would rather see someone's actions in public, than being tapped on the shoulder from behind from someone lurking in a back alley.
Making it where only paying members can send messages, friend requests and posts, would make this a private forum. What good, is a private forum, when you're trying promote public awareness about nudity? Requiring people to post before access to messaging and requests, gives them a reason to post. The only reasons that I can think of for not wanting to post here are shame, fear or embarrassment. If that's the case, they need to put that aside. No one is required to reveal rheir real name or pictures of themselves before posting. They are given anonymity to get past their reluctance. If anything should be reserved for paying members here, it's access and posting of nude photos. That would help to curtail harvesting photos from here.
The reality is that most users of all sites which are designed for interaction or content consumption are passive.
Be that Facebook, youtube, Instagram, TikTok etc content creators are in the minority.
Human nature is such that most dont like sticking their head above the parapet.
Anyway the point stands that fake profiles have become so prevalent that had I not purchased a lifetime membership years ago I wouldnt use the site anymore.
