RE:Time to clear some dead wood from ENL

Yes Richie, we know that you hate bushes, no need to bang on about it.

On the one hand, it is true that when I created the first version of this group it was exactly to limit membership to those who want to participate, and I was regularly letting go those who didn't. There were over 5,000 other groups where everybody was welcome so if all you want to do is browse and scroll you don't need this one.

On the other hand, I never succeeded to turn this group into a club. Plus, this is I think the third version of this group, it was created by Jeanne, so I don't feel much responsibility for it and don't kick people out any longer. But I am rather pleased if another mod does it for me.

I guess the thing is, this group is different, admittedly its not really a club, well for some it is... but nudists have no entitlement to become a member or remain a member, contributing, even a simple "like" on any of the magnificent photos posted, or deeper conversational engagement in the topics... any sign of life is enough, we're not asking for much.

RE:Time to clear some dead wood from ENL

I fell out of this group on one of the site purges and then went through a period where I didn't get on the site so often so I didn't rejoin as I know that it is a group that prefers active members.

It's had some real fun times - I used to enjoy the rare opportunity to post my own pictures here which felt almost transgressive. It really has felt like a little club, which I enjoy and I'm delighted to have been accepted, thank you. It is at the very least not moribund like 99% of all the groups on the site.

I've created a group myself recently based around weekends in Berlin which I am trying to emulate the club like feel of here - it's all around content and keeping it fresh I guess - so well done everybody for still keeping this going after all this time.

Back to Richie's original topic, a purge does help keep the group a little more focused on the varied topics. I, too, think it is necessary for the long term 'survival' of the folks. Flora does keep the topics interesting but both she and Jeanne does deserve more support than is currently given; any suggestions keyboard warriors?

Its difficult for sure John, my first port of call is this group to see the news, it likes or pic comments made or any new topics, each time i log on to TN,
Many members i remove want to rejoin even though they never leave a trace of visiting the group. Some have hundreds of groups in their profile, so i just reckon they can't need another.
Some groups pride themselves on their membership numbers, I look for fewer quality over quantity.
Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the way of it, for now.
