I think gay guys are just more visible because they can (and do) move between social groups, venues, etc. and gay men tend to truly not care about being nude socially or defining a "right way" to experience nude recreation and socialization. Gay men are not the ones hung up on "which section" of the nude beach is "gay" or " straight". Gay men are not the ones who place a caveat on "couples only". Gay men are not the ones asking ridiculous questions about "accidental" erections, or worrying about "creepers" or any particular people looking at them. Gay naturists generally don't have an issue with separating nudity from sex and don't think very much about anything except comradery and good will towards others in a social situation. Most straight people do. Therefore, gay nudists are more visible in a wider context than other nudists who focus on restricting their naturist experience to some narrowly defined "acceptable and comfortable" scope by being hyperfocused on the other people at a nude venue.
Just sayin'...
I am a little perplexed about your generalizations as I see no support data of any type nor steps to prevent unbalanced analysis. The statements appear to be a 'personal assessment' of the traits exhibited by your observation of 'straight' nudists. Without going into an overall evaluation of your findings ... did you ask any of the individuals about their purported "right way" experiences(?); the possible motive for staying out of an area largely populated by a self-identified group (why did both groups self identify) & why did they occupy that space(?); is the ideal for a caveat on "couples only' relegated to same sex couples or do mix sex couples qualify, too(?); giving gay nudists the inherent power of being able to separate nudity from sex is somewhat problematic, or do you not think so? You disparage straight nudists with a list of traits that wreak of personal bias. I'll stop here as we are not going to convince the other of anything positive. Please keep your comments a little less 'hyperfocused' and maybe demonstrate to the OP why his observations may be faulty. Then ... hopefully, we can all move forward.
