RE:Vermont naked bike ride

Actually, I was thinking about public reaction given the very small group of participants, relative to Philly. It could not have been nicer from honking horns to verbal support to two folks actually joining us it was a very nice experience. Actually " The public " was fairly sparse as well. Most pedestrian interaction took place immediately in village center , restaurant, pub and storefront locations .

I read a lot about public nudity being legal in Vermont, unless prohibited locally and not stripping in public,, do many people actually take advantage of that outside of organized events like WNBR?

Assuming you stayed in a hotel, did you leave the hotel nude and remain so for the entirety of the day?

In terms of crowd size, Philly has the advantage of being a very large city and less than 100 miles from NY, so it has a much larger base from which to draw.

By the way, I just noticed that this year's Philly WBNR is the same day as the Sunny Rest clothing optional 5K, August 23.
Have you given any thought to doing one, or if you are aggressive, both?
Combine with a few laps at Sunny Rest and you could do a nude mini-triathlon.

Yes I left bed n breakfast naked so i wouldn't have a problem re disrobing in public. From what Ive experienced, nude hikes , heard from others solo nude in public places will probably be ignored in most places but not all. Burlington and Rutland outlawed it. Its best to keep it to trails and sanctioned events. And at least as far as WNBR goes the organizer said stripping at start of ride/event is not a problem.
