First freehiking experience on 8/2/25
I visited VT last weekend and was able to make a short notice trip with PC_sun. We hiked Little Rock pond trail, the weather was beautiful and the trail was popular. I was nervous to hike naked the whole way and there were quite a few children. So part of the time we put our shorts on but hiked the back side of the pond naked. It was exciting! We got naked at other times as well passing a few single male hikers and groups. The reactions were positive and polite. I loved it and want more! I think Id prefer a less popular trail next time because there were two of us but Id love to join one of the big hiking parties. One memorable moment was when PC_Sun was taking a photo of me naked sitting on a log directly on the busy trail and a single male hiker at a brisk pace surprised us as my butt was facing the trail. I didnt know what to say so I said Im sorry, he replied thats ok. It will take some time for me to get comfortable with that but I want to be respectful of the others too.
It was great to see how you adapted to increasing the time you stayed without the shorts. There were groups with children, and we were the only nude hikers of all those we passed. I do love hiking nude in Vermont where it is more accepted.
Thanks for sharing that experience. It's better to have more than one hiking, especially a lone male, I find, but that doesn't stop me. I've done that trail a few times as well as many others in Vermont. Reactions are slightly varied but generally supportive. This group is a good place to communicate planned hikes - though I have only done a couple so far this year.
