Or horse - it seems to be more readily available in these
parts.
Otherwise just compost all your cuttings and raw vegetable
waste from cooking and naturally urinate on your compost heap.

Nothing better than home made compost!

And even better when you turn the compost heap naked https://vimeo.com/50402187

We use worm castings as a top feed type fertilizer. We simply sprinkle some on the ground near the plants and water slightly.

not much use to you but I made raised beds using cheap B&Q peat free compost - everything has grown really well [too well in fact]

If you have a decent sized space and have an area you're happy to give over to it (6' square minimum) then I would opt for Comfrey. It is very difficult to remove once planted, the roots go very deep, 3m or more. It can be cut back to the ground 3 times a year, 4 if you're lucky. The leaves can be dried easily, scrunch up into a powder and keep dry. Add directly to planting holes, add to rainwater to make tea or just chop up leaves and add to planting holes or surface dressing, add to compost as a starter/accelerator. It is without doubt the best all round fertilizer, can also be sprayed as a foliar feed.
We have a composting toilet, urine separated is stored for 6 months in a cool dark place, it can then be diluted and used as a plant feed, particularly good for increasing fruit and any other kind of crop harvests.
