I was hoping to go to a resort this past weekend, but weather was a wash out. Looks like same for this coming weekend. Im in Maryland. Closest resort is Avalon in WV and pen-Mar in PA. Both are about an hour drive.

I have been told by a lot of people its very nice there. I am a friend with one of the permanent campers there who is also a volunteer. Going to try to go again in a couple of weeks.

I've been to a couple of resorts in the New England area, but it was over 20 years ago so I don't know what they're like now (if they're even still open). The resorts were Solair in Connecticut, and Cedar Waters Village in New Hampshire. I've also been to Hippy Hollow outside of Austin - it's a clothing-optional county park in Travis County, Texas. Nice place, but too rocky to call it a beach :-)
