New to nude
Hello all
I am married 50 something male with an empty nest for about a year now. I have always wanted to live naked at home but raising kids just didn't fit. Only yesterday I talked to my wife on how I felt and that I was nude at home every time she was away and that it felt free and relaxing to me. She took it great! I asked if she could join me and she hesitated. I knew she had body issues and I suggested a nice light short robe for now until she felt comfortable and she agreed! So here I sit in my living room in the buff and loving it! I feel like the luckiest guy alive.
I to am almost empty nesting, I have one more son to go. He has a busy work schedule so I have plenty of time to be nude at home. My wife does not share in my love of nudity, but she does not mind it either. She has again started to go to the gym so hopefully once she sees some progress she will be less uncomfortable and join me.

Good luck. I am so glad my wife is who she is. I felt like I was hiding something from her, and actually I was lol. When the last child moved out took me a year to talk to her about it.

Well done. If you enjoy being naked at home, try a visit to a naturist location.
I am almost in the same situation as you, except my wife and I had the talk many years ago, so we've been to a few naturist clubs for very short stays over the years, when we could escape from our parental duties. Now the children are grown up and don't want to go on holiday with us, we are shortly off on our first proper naturist holiday (two weeks in Greece). Can't wait!
I am a firm believer that there is a naturist gene, and that more men are born with it than women. My wife certainly doesn't have it, but she does have an open mind and a broad mind, and although she doesn't get the same pleasure from naturism as I do, and never will, she is comfortable being naked around others, so is happy to join in.
In other words: reluctant naturist wives don't necessarily have body image issues. It may be that they just don't see the point of being naked, and it is human nature to want to hide behind things - and clothes are the easiest option. My advice to new naturists with reluctant wives is therefore concentrate on explaining to her how it benefits you (and therefore you both as a happy couple), rather than trying to 'convert' her.
If your wife really does have body image issues, then a visit to any naturist location will open her eyes to the fact that nobody's body is 'perfect' and whatever location you go to, there will always be people there with bodies less perfect than hers.
