RE:Lawn cutting

Cut the back lawn naked today as the wife is out - she worries about neighbours seeing me.
Put on shorts for the front lawn as it was school bus time and there are about six that come past.

RE:Lawn cutting

My normal used to be mowing nude, but my GF has taken over the mowing entirely. For a city girl that had never mowed a blade of grass, she's now an expert on the zero-turn, and rarely leaves anything for me to cut! Now, if I could only get her to try it nude! LOL!

Before she moved in, I always mowed the back nude, as it's mostly screened by privacy fence and woods. Often, I'd even mow the front, since I'm in a very rural area with little traffic. The road is partially screened by trees and bushes, and for a long time I thought I could just spin the zero-turn mower around when I saw a vehicle coming. After I realized that I actually saw more vehicles GOING than I ever saw COMING, I came to the conclusion that a lot of people saw me, and none of them cared!

When my elderly neighbor was house-bound after a hip surgery, his normally neatly cut lawn was getting overgrown. Even his son, living across the road, hadn't mowed it in weeks. Looking at his overgrown yard while mowing my front yard nude, I got a crazy idea. When I finished my own, I refueled the mower, drove it over to his place, and mowed the entire yard. It was late afternoon on a sunny day, so I was easy for anyone to see. Sunglasses and a ball cap were all I wore. Due to my fences, that required driving out of my driveway and along the county road for about 30 yards, just to get around my own fence. He had no fences, whatsoever, so from that point on, I was in full view of the road, except while mowing behind his house and out-buildings. Of course, almost the entire time, I was in full view from various windows of his house, and in fact, mowed right next to the house. His place has a little over an acre of open grass, so it took a while. Halfway through, I parked the mower in his back yard, walked across his place, out to the road and back to my place, got a beer, and returned to the mower. Even though I'd been nude the whole time, I still had to work up the nerve to go for the beer walk. I'd purposely parked the mower in the middle of his back yard, forcing myself to walk, barefoot and totally naked, about a hundred yards in the open, to get back to my own place. That put me in full view of his house and his son's house for a couple minutes. Also, if any vehicle came along the road, there was absolutely nothing to hide behind, especially walking along the road. With beer in hand, and still completely nude, I walked back, got on the mower, and finished the back yard. Mowing his front yard, completely open to the road, I tried the "turn away" thing a few times when I saw vehicles coming. However, one side of his place is edged by woods, which made it hard to see anything coming from that direction until they were right there. Finishing up along the edge of the road, one car surprised me from that direction, and I found myself driving face-to-grill with a car, fully exposed to everyone in the car, and only ten feet away! It wasn't "see the car", it was "see the expressions on their faces through the windshield"! They went on their way, with no reaction from them, whatsoever! The neighbor called and left a message on my machine, simply saying "Thank you for mowing my yard!" So, next mowing day, I did it again!

That is the act of a kindly neighbor - well done, Jim! I'm happy you had a chance to give without anyone asking for help. The feels good, and doing it bare even better, I'm sure. Pretty gusty!

RE:Lawn cutting

I mowed my yard yesterday in the nude. It was hot out so I thought why not do it nude. I mowed the front and back lawn nude. I had a few people drive by when I was close to the road but I don't think anyone ever noticed that I was nude. The neighbor up the road had a few cars more cars around than normal but I really don't think they look my way. it is so much better doing it nude cause I can ride up the garden hose to cool myself off and not worry about getting shorts wet. I have done nude mowing several times and don't think I will stop. I also thought of mowing the roadside in the nude but that may of been a little more daring.

As I have said in "Daring Nudists" motorists' concentration is on the road ahead with their peripheral vision monitoring for potential hazards such as cars approaching down side roads or pedestrians who might step into the road.
Anything else is not registered with sufficient detail to immediately notice details of clothing or lack of it. The realisation of what they have seen will come a few seconds later by which time they will have gone past and the overwhelming majority will not want to stop, back up and check.

I live on a busy through street. I have experienced several people I know mention seeing me cutting the lawn without a shirt and a very few say they thought at first that I was nude when wearing tan shorts,

RE:Lawn cutting

As you can see from my profile picture, I always cut the grass in the backyard naked, for that matter I'm always naked in the backyard... I put an outdoor shower in, in March of 2020 and if I've taken a shower in the house 5 times since then, that's a lot... I'm in S. Florida, however it does drop into the 30's at times and I'm still out there. Surprised the neighbors haven't called the fire department, all the steam looks like smoke LOL... We have a lawn service for the front, however on occasions after 11 PM I have taken the garbage can out to the street naked as well and took a slow stroll through the front yard before going back to the side gate

I wear minimal clothing in the front yard were I am totally exposed. As soon as I turn the corner to go to the back yard, off comes my shorts and t-shirt. One neighbor has a minimal view of me and from the road just a sliver.

You don't need to wear a shirt to do work in the front yard. I live on a busy street and rarely wear one in warm weather.

RE:Lawn cutting

I don't have a lawn to mow really, (actually a lot more than a lawn) just a garden to keep tended and the rest either grows up or gets occasionally weed wacked, too technical of terrine to get a mower around on it much. Since our 80 acres starts a half mile off the main road it's pretty isolated. But I've been mowing naked for awhile, with a 59 year old tractor, 45-50 year old flail chopper, and a trailer I built to catch the grass. Then I have to hand fork it out of the trailer. (need a dump trailer next) So its all day day after day nude work in the hot sun, just have to drink plenty of water and I will have to start taking buckets of water out to douse myself when I get too hot. I'm well past any issue with sunburn, I don't sunburn very easy anyway, a little build-up to it in the spring and I'm good for all day. Got some 30 acres to work on deep in an isolated valley behind a locked gate next to our place. So it's an ongoing project as much time as I can put in on it. Timber company land leased by hunting club. for many years I made hay on the fields for my horses, then got rid of them and stopped making hay, Now I started mowing it again to make compost from the chopped grass and weeds. The hunt club is happy to get it mowed again, they were hard put to get it done, only doing a limited amount of bushhogging once a year. the dry stuff I mowed early spring was too low nitrogen to compost very fast, I used most of it mulching my fruit trees. Now I started mowing the fresh green growth and its getting hot fast in the heaps. I will start turning it with the skid steer loader pretty soon. Gonna have a whole lot of nice compost pretty quickly. The plan is to use it to set up a vegetable growing operation, small commercial, and get it organized where I can hire others to keep it going. Try to tweak fertility feed to maximize nutrition and flavor, aim for the top end gourmet market. There are some unique tricks to getting super flavor grown in, I don't know anyone doing it anywhere in any commercial scale. Our mountain land doesn't have much agriculture space, so compact production of things that will produce a lot in a small space is the way to go. or terrace the mountainside. I can do several acres of apples eventually. but that takes a lot of work yet to clear the land and get the trees planted and grown. I've got 20 started and growing good. Except the over size ones I tried to move, some of them aren't doing so good, not surprising. It's nice work, not always the most comfortable, but not having to wear anything helps with the comfort when its warm to hot. As for the huntin club fellas, it seems to be primarily a deer club. I saw no one ever show up for turkey season this spring, which ended 2 weeks ago. they come in when deer season starts late fall. By then I'll be done mowing for the year I'm sure. And then if I'm not, they show up mostly weekends and I work during the week. I probably be hard to get all 30 acres mowed 3 times this summer. Might make it twice, and might not get all 30 done. Some of it needs a lot of saplings cut yet that have taken over since I was mowing hay.
