BOY WAS I WRONG ABOUT AVALON
AFTER 11 MONTHS OF DOING A LOT OF WORK AROUND THERE, FOR NO PAY, INCLUDING PICKING GARBAGE UP AT THE KITCHEN AND CONDO'S 5 DAYS A WEEK, PUTTING IN OVER 30 HOURS WORK IN THE HOT TUBS AND INDOOR POOL, TEARING THE CEILING OUT OF THE MEETING ROOM, AND HAULING IT A WAY TO THE MEADOW, GATHERING WOOD, SPLITING , AND STACKING, CLEANING THE POOLS HELP CLEANING THE BARN, AND HELPING WITH PICKLE BALL COURTS, POWERING WASHING BOTH BATH HOUSES INSIDE AND OUT, BURNING 7 GALLONS OF GAS IN A LEAVE BLOWER, CLEANING UP CAMP SITES, HAULING STUFF OUT OF THE CHALET BASEMENT, SPREADING GRAVEL, AND MANY MORE THINGS INCLUDING A TRIP TO AGUSTA, WV , AT MY EXPENSE, THIS 72 YEAR OLD VETERAN WAS THROW OUT WITH NO WHERE TO GO ON MEMORIAL DAY, WITH NO REAL REASON GIVEN, ...............I STILL LIKE AVALON AND MOST OF THE MEMBERS, BUT IF YOU GO WATCH THE MAINTANCE MAN [LYNN] FOR HE HAS A VERY NEGATIVE ATTITUDE ABOUT AVALON, AND WATCH YOURSELF AROUND BOARD MEMBERS FOR THEY THINK THEIR SHIT DON'T STINK, AND WHATEVER YOU DO , DO NOT VOLUNTEER........................RUHL
- There's always two sides to a story. Everything I've heard about Avalon has been very good. Getting kicked out doesn't happen for no reason--such a thing would be very damaging to a resort. Sorry to hear Ruhl had trouble, but I'm guessing there's more to the story.'...................well when the Attorney General of West Virginia gets done with his investigation don't be surprised if Avalon isn't shut down and some ppl may be arrested..............Ruhl
I'm real sorry to hear about this. I have spent some good times at Avalon in an earlier life. I was stationed at the Pentagon and spent lots of my spare time there. The folks were always nice. Has it gone through a change in management since the 90's? I seem to remember hearing something about that. Too bad.
you can guess all you want, i don't make things up, also Avalon violated their own lease with me twice in the 3rd paragraph, of the 1st page and i got paper work from them proving it, i decided not to push it with AG got busy around here
