I feel that the real crime, here. Is that society has created a
situation in which the public is afraid of the police and the
police are afraid of the public. Our law enforcement officers are
on the front lines, so to speak, every time they make a routine
traffic stop or answer a call regarding a domestic disturbance. The
stress of constant danger can cause anyone to react badly and not
in accordance with their training. I have no doubt that many
law enforcement officers have a basic prejudice towards blacks and
Latinos. Throughout the years, I have heard many using the "N"
word, thinking that I would not find it offensive. They were wrong!
The very best of the officers can be influenced by
their peers.
Police carry guns for their own self protection as well as
the protection of the publicat large and must be accountable
for their use. Carrying a firearm is an awesome responsibility. The
use of that firearm must be within the law and only in extreme
circumstance.
So, there is a problem but is there a solution? Without mutual
respect between the public and the police, the situation is likely
to escalate. If young blacks think it is cool to look and act like
a gang banger, they may be the next victim of a " bad shoot".
Fortunately, to date, we have not heard reports
of an unarmed black man wearing a business suit and
sporting a nice haircut falling victim..
We all have a basic mistrust of those who are not like us. We
whites do not expect the young blacks to look and act like us,
however, there are essential standards of conduct that allow us to
all get along .The young blacks would do well to pull up their
pants, lose the dregs and dew rags and show respect for themselves
and society. This respect must be instilled early in the home and
in the schools.
.. Conversely, I feel that increased and ongoing sensitivity
training is necessary within the law enforcement agencies with
emphasis on the fact that the vast majority of blacks are law
abiding citizens and deserve equal protection under the law.
Lastly, I feel that all violent crime should be prosecuted to
the fullest extent of the law and that the
Black Lives
Matter" movement should be
reorganized under the banner " All Lives Matter".

The problem is not bigotry by police.
The problem is the bigotry that comes from the black leaders-BLM,
The New Black Panther Party, The left leaning people in the media
and in politics-Obama-Sharpton and more. The whole "Hands up-don't
shoot" is based on a lie, but those leaders, rather than calling on
young blacks to live responsible lives, they stir anger and
resentment; and that is where the problem is
born.
utter BS, you can't see anything beyond your red colored lenses.

Let us not deny that there is some bigotry within the law
enforcement ranks. Instead let us applaud the many officers who are
true professionals, who treat everyone equally under the law,
and bring truth to the slogan " Serve andProtect"
i spite of their own ingrained prejudices. Certainly, let us
applaud the many , many officers who preform their duty
without the weight of these ingrained prejudices. All
officers should have our support and respect but must earn that
respect by deed and action. Those that do not should be weeded from
the ranks.
Let us also applaud a society which has elected a black
president, twice. Civil rights laws have made fantastic strides
during my lifetime but the spirit of equality still lags behind.
These are trying times for the Country and the world. It is time
that we come together to solve these problems , not create new
ones.
While there are many things that we can applaud let us
condemn the leaders and organizations who would advocate chaos and
lawlessness to advance their own political aims. There are many
black leaders who are wonderful role models and deserve the respect
of all society. Unfortunately, it is loud and derisive rhetoric ,
that captures the attention of the media.
There is a movement in the United States where some misguided individuals feel that it is necessary to shoot and kill our Police officers. Every right thinking person should take it upon them selves to condemn this activity and if we are presented the opportunity to personally act against it, to do so.The first thing we as good citizens can do it to always obey the orders of a duly sworn police officer. The police have a duty to preform and we we must always fully cooperate in any encounter we have with a police officer. We hire, train, equip, and pay police officers to protect us from the bad guys but we must be willing to help them in fulfilling their duties. What often happens is a call goes out that there was a convince store robbery with shots fired. A description goes out of perhaps a black or hispanic looking man, wearing kaki pants and a white Tee shirt is the subject, and he is armed. All the nearby police converge on the area looking of people who fit this description. When the see someone who matches the description they want to stop him and check him out. The officer is about ready to pee his pants because he knows the person has a gun and is willing use it. He is very cautious in approaching the suspect to check him out. Here is where a person must obey the office implicitly. You must not do anything to raise the officers suspicions or reactions. If things check out, you will be on your way and the officer will continue looking for the perp. If you have some problems with the police, they will have to do their duty, but what ever it is, it's not worth dying over. Some people may complain that this is a nudist website and it has nothing to do with police work. Well I disagree, I have several nudist friends who are police officers and I'd like to keep them around. DesertRat.
No dis-respect, but you need to take a closer look at what your American cops are doing these days. Try having a look at The Free Thought Project, this is online and then tell me what you have stated above is all well and true. American cops are far too trigger happy, half the time, they don't even give you the chance to do what they ask before bouncing all over you and kicking the shit out of you.
You might not like my comments to this post, but, I am not a stupid person and realise that there are some good cops out there, but there are a lot of bad ones too. The attitude of American cops is that you should show them respect because they wear a uniform...Bollocks to that ! Respect is earned, not expected. Cops are also paid for by the people of the city or community in which they live, they are PUBLIC SERVANTS.
AS for them having what is called their Blue Privilege, that is the biggest load of crap going, if a cop has murdered someone, then they should be tried and processed like everyone else, not be allowed to get away with it because they are a cop ! All this "I feared for my life/safety", bullshit, they are the ones with a gun. I hear that bollocks far too often for them to justify killing someone.
All this goes back to liberal policies. The nanny state that tells people that they are victims. That they need government to get by. That they are not responsible for their circumstances and are incapable of building a better life. The greatest tragedy of the first half-black president is that he continued to divide us rather than inspiring young black men to reach higher. Race relations in this country are the worst they been since the sixties, and it's all because of the liberal strategy of divide, victimize, conquer and control. Rinse. Repeat. What a shame.
utter BS

Well said, Brucie, but there will still be some stubborn and
naive people too blind to see the truth,
