Remember if you have fast growing evergreen plants that once they get to the height they want to be to prune them every year otherwise they turn into the neighbour from hell. Also with laylands to prune them in the winter to stop the foliage been burnt and turning a brown colour and never cut into old wood as they never re shoot. Evergreen climbers might be better like lonicera japonica 'Repans' will be a good one as well as a rambling rose such as Mme Alfred Carriere other like rambling rector are deciduous but very fast growing and one plant will cover 30+ of fencing.
Thanks for the advice. Due to the lay of the land, and no 2nd story windows nearby, I don't need any high screening, just a few 4-6 foot bushes will do the trick. I chose some itea for under an existing tree, and some ornamental grasses and butterfly bushes . Sounds like you have some experience in the green industry.

I was in horticulture for about 16 years so yes I know a fare amount about plants, but mainly what grows in the UK against the USA.
