Spurn Point

On Saturday we went to visit Spurn Point for the first time in ages.
The first thing that surprised us was that the road had been washed away in floods in 2013 so you can no longer drive there by car.
We ended up parking in the little car park just after Kilnsea. We had a very nice picnic before heading off for a walk along the beach.
The sun was warm, the clouds were small and the breeze was light(-ish) so I was just in shorts and crocs.
The second surprise was how few people were on the beach once we got away from the car park.
The third surprise was how many people had forgotten their clothes :-) I saw definitely two ladies who were topless, once of them looked like they went there regularly.
Unfortunately there were just enough people about to get in the way of stripping off properly, although we did manage my first bit of nakedness away from home. We stopped just near the lighthouse, in a little sheltered area where we finished out picnic, and sat and relaxed enjoying the sun, slightly sheltered from the breeze and enjoying a bit of quiet naked time.
Just our luck though, we did get caught by a couple of men who came over the headland and walked down to the beach right beside us. They were either blind and didn't see, or simply didn't care as they walked straight past and carried on their walk and their conversation.
There are parts of the beach the are very gravelly and not nice to walk on, but there are some areas where the sand is lovely, fine, soft and great to walk or sit on. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The only down side is the slow trip to get there
