Netflix's "Stranger Things" and the importance of male friendships

If you have Netflix and haven't checked out "Stranger Things" yet,
I strongly encourage you to do so.

Everything about it is great - story, cast, acting, soundtrack,
everything. It's set in the early 80s and is a little derivative of
the classics from that era (ET, Poltergeist, etc), but it's top
notch nonetheless. Only one season so far and only eight episodes,
so it's not a huge investment of time.

Here's an excellent article focused on how it treats the male
friendships at the center of the story. Good stuff, all around. I'd
be interested in hearing from others who've watched it and what
they think.
