New Home Page Format

AmI the only one who has a problem with the new home page format? It is now possible for ANYONE who is visiting the site to see our entire roster of members. You don't have to register, you don't even have to sign in. All you have to do isto entera Zip Code and all the members in or near that Zip Code will have their profile pages displayed. Yes, you have to sign in or register to see their photos but that doen not provide any security of a person's personal data or profile photo.
This is the reason that I've changed our profile photo and made everything else for Friends only.
I've sent an e-mail to the web manager stating my concerns and asked that this be changed. I would like to hear other peoples' thoughts on this subject.

I have also made my profile "friends only" until this site change is corrected.

It's a one-man show, near as anyone can tell.
The owner does what he wants, usually with no notice.
I find it irritating, but I'm very much a creature of habit, so it may well be just me.

I agree with you on this, Desert. However, the only difference is that every time you click on the home page another members profile is prominently displayed and you can search via zipcode. Before this change occured, you could still click on "Nudists" at the top of the page, do a similar search and see profiles (but not pics) without even logging in. Or read through the forums, click on any posting members thumbnail, etc. The same via groups.

What I don't like about it, is that it does encourage "Joe/Jane Anonymous User" to perform a more accurate locale search. We've changed our profile pic and made our profile for friends only as well, because of this.

I had already voiced my concerns about this on the certified forum, but I'll repeatthem here.

I'd like to know exactly how this works. Do the members whose profile pic appears there sign a waiverof any sort? Are they warned in advance? Can they opt out?

Many people have their profile photoset to"Friends Only." They may havevery good reasons for doing that. Will that function be bypassed by this new system? Are those who have just recently changedtheir profile pic to Friends Only protected by doing so?
