clothes near by

I was wondering. I am the only nudist at home and when I do go nude, I keep a pair of shorts near by in case someone comes home or wakes up. While I was watering my backyard, I kept my shorts close by even though I know my youngest would not be up any time soon and no one else is home.
How many other nudist do this at home or where ever?

For me being naked is not a clandestine activity that would need an emergency escape mechanism. So no - I don't keep a pair of shorts nearby. Actually, feeling the need to always plant an item of clothing near me would reduce the sense of freedom that being naked gives me. In the event that someone unexpectedly shows up on the scene - I would simply say sorry I did not expect you and adjust my clothing if I notice they are uncomfortable ... i do realize that others may have other factors to consider - so my approach is not a one-size-fits-all solution suitable for everyone ..,

I am usually nude at home and do not keep any clothes "at the ready". if someone has any issues then my clothes are in the bedroom and I can get them . I don't have any problems with folks seeing me nude in my home.

I have a sign on the front window stating that a nudist lives here and all visitors will be greeted nude.That is for people who just turn up without warning if you call ahead and let me know then I cover up.

I do normally have some shorts near by so I can cover up if I have to answer the door and outside during the day but not in the evening.

I always have a dressing gown hanging up behind my front door in case I am disturbed unexpectedly.

I used to try to keep clothes around to slip on if someone showed up. But it was a hassle and the older I get the less I care if i get found in the buff.

It's a standard practice I think. I have shorts or more (depending on the season) nearby when I am nude in my house. You never know when that doorbell will go...and it's usually the mother in law :)
