Last cut

November might look a bit late for mowing the lawn. But the grass kept growing. I cut it early this week. I was naked of course even though it was a bit chilly. I kept moving (mowing) to keep warm.

RE: Last cut

we are 5 days into November and most all of mine needs cut again. And the extended forecast looks to be warm enough I will do it in my bare minimum to totally bare.

The last month my lawn has stopped growing so was able to do the last cut of the year nude and looking forward for nude lawn cutting next year and hope it is warm enough to do the first ones nude.

RE: Last cut

There was a discussion on the radio earlier this week about climate change and how its causing a longer growing season in the UK. Cutting the grass in December and January was mentioned as being likely to be more common here.

We had a dry winter here in Sussex, only 40% of the average winter rainfall, over-wintering spinach, chard and lettuces all went to seed earlier than usual. We've had small fruits formed on currant and gooseberry bushes, as well as on strawberry plants for a few weeks now, this generally doesn't happen here until next month. Its as if the dry soil is encouraging early fruiting/seeding as plants tend to when its dry. Oh, and plenty of grass seeds are visible, just in case you want anymore to cut year round!
