The "improvements"--another presumption/invasion
With this new site, they've added to our profiles what I think is termed a "banner." This is a photo, in addition to the one we've chosen as our profile.
One has been added to my profile. I DIDN'T CHOOSE IT. And I don't see where I CAN choose it. It's different from the one I did choose for my profile.
May I remind the "improvers" that many people want to choose their profile photos because they don't want to show too much too publicly. (You don't even have to log in to see my profile.) Maybe they don't want to be nude--except for trusted friends. Suddenly, there's a new picture up there for everyone to see. And a lot of people might not even know about it, because they don't actually open their own profiles.
OK, I sort of take it back. I went to my own photos and I now see that there's the option to make any one a "profile" photo or a "cover" photo. But people might want to look and see if the photos shown on your profile are the ones you want. When you log into TrueNudists, you don't automatically go to your profile. So it's good to check.
I agree that its a good idea to give members a heads up on checking their account settings, things have changed and there's been no clues from TN that I've seen that this is the case. You're right that those who want to be more careful about who they let know and see that they're nudists should check this out. Personally I have no problems with who knows that I'm a nudist, but a lot of other people have work and other issues in their lives where being seen naked online could be a big no-no.
My profile page shows the photo I chose to be my profile photo at the top left with a banner of part of that photo - the middle section horizontally.
If you want to check who can see your photos - navigation is not completely obvious, so click on your profile photo/user name, top left on your feed page, this takes you to your account page where there are a set of tabs, click on these to edit various part of your profile/ account, restricting viewing of photos etc is under 'privacy'.
