Hip flexibility
I have very tight hips and have been looking at various exercises to loosen and strengthen. What makes it challenging is that there are so many muscles to consider and all seem to be relevant! My motivation comes from having minor scoliosis and compensating through core strengthening. I used to think the scoliosis caused the rigid and offset hips but now Im beginning to wonder if its the other way around. Any good advice or suggestions?
Yoga. In just a general beginners practice there are so many different hip opening poses you will go through in 60-90min.
This is decent advice. Many of the warrior poses, runners stretch, etc will help you out. The most important thing is to advance the stretch to the point of being uncomfortable, but not so far that it results in pain.
