Representation
I'd say yes but I definitely don't see it happening. I see a great divide amongst the nudist society. For example, when I first joined this site, I was the only man of color in my area in which I live. I reached out to several Caucasian TN members in my area just to feel welcomed and it was NOT reciprocated. And the males that did response, to me if felt like they were after me for that "BBC" experience.
This is a tough nut to crack. My understanding is that the overall nudist/naturist community DOES want more families and minorities among the ranks (Native American, Black, Asian, Latino, Desi/Middle Eastern, interracial couples/families,) but without sounding patronizing, what is the most genuine and sensitive way to target that audience for what most see as an intimate though non-sexual environment is the hard part. I'm not even sure if I 'expect' the nudist community to come recruit us. I won't say that I've done any real recruitment, but when I've informed friends about this side of my life that I have,...let's just say they had no interest.
As for representation in the groups and publications, I feel that this is up to us that are on the inside. I'm no where near a writer, but I've written a few articles for 'N Magazine', a publication put out by The Naturist Society (TNS). The first one written in '06 issue #27.1 titled "Visualizing Naturism," and the most recent in '25 issue #44.2 on page 25 titled "30 Years of Massage And Naturism," with photos of me attached to the articles. TNS does pay for the articles with photos, just not a whole lot. Additionally, there is a YouTube video of the Gay Nnaturist International Gathering (GNI), and all-male nudist event, that I appear in for a short bit. You can see me about the 3"47 time mark:

This is the little bit of representation I've done to let the larger nudist/naturist community know that minorities are here and interested; just trying to be the change I want to see, as the saying goes. Other than doing this ourselves, what ways or ideas has anyone thought about as a way to expect and/or require representation of minorities from the broader naturist/nudist community? Maybe there is something that is being overlooked or not thought about.
