Proud teacher and nudist
I hope to see more activity here and meet more teachers who practice nudism. I have taught for almost 20 years and loved every minute of it. My wife became a teacher almost 5 years ago and has been very excited with her career change and choice she made.
I have been a home nudist for years, and occasionally went to nude beaches, both where I used to live in NJ and here in central NY. However, I now teach history at the local community college, so (in order to avoid students) I have restricted my nude hours to home.
It isn't nearly as much fun as being able to nude hike or hit the beaches for swimming and tanning time, but being "caught" would end my career.
How do you all cope?

You are not alone! Di taught English at a local Comm. College and was just as concerned as you are about being seen at our nude beach. We still visited the beach but most of our social nude time was spent at our club or a resort in Palm Springs.
We had a set back for a time when someone sent a college wide email of the back of a woman in a hat, sitting naked on the beach. Di opened the email and immediately thought ... "someone took a picture of me at the nude beach and is now circulating it to everyone." She was upset, stunned and ready to throw in the towel with social nudism/public nudism (the beach). After I looked at the photo, we noticed some things that were quite obvious that it was not Di; hair color, body frame, she didn't own a hat like that one in the picture and the beach was not our beach and we'd only been on that nude beach at the time.
Further investigation found that the photo was taken off the internet and at that time, I'd not posted any nude photos of either of us on the internet. Her fears subsided but she was still extremely cautious and guarded. She was more concerned about students finding out and poking fun, making jokes or asking rude questions than she was about being found out by colleagues or Admin but was still concerned that it might impact her employment but she wasn't about to give up her lifestyle.
As time passed, she became less and less concerned about who knew and was certain that she'd not lose her job just because she was a nudist and visited a nude beach. Being tenured helped as well and becoming an Associate Professor, then Full Professor and Professor Emeritus helped solidify her standing within the college and less of a threat of being dismissed for nudism.
We understand your situation completely and like Di, we just advise you to use caution and tread lightly with your involvement in nudism publicly until some time passes and you've cemented your standing at the college.
Congrats on your job and all the work you put into your schooling to get that job!
