Jamaica
Hello everybody;I am going to Negril next month, on my honeymoon. The resort we are staying at has a nude beach. It is couples Negril. I was wondereing if anybody has been there? If so do you have any input?
I haven't been to Couples Negril, but my wife and I visited the Grand Lido (now Breezes Grand) in Negril a few years ago, and it was lovely. In addition to the nude beach, there was a nude swimming pool, hot tub, and bar. Because our room opened directly onto the nude beach area, we were even able to sit on our back porch in the nude. There was no photography allowed in the nude area, so we didn't get any pictures. If your resort has a similar policy, you might try going to the beach at a time when it is less populated, such as early in the morning, and ask the staff if you can take a picture while no one else is on the beach.
For an extra fee the resort offered a massage (for singles or couples) performed on the nude beach at sunrise or sunset, with the table actually in the water. They did allow those people to have themselves photographed.
The resort also had a spa area with a sauna and steam room, but I never asked whether clothing was required in those areas. There was never anyone else in there while I was using them, so it probably wouldn't have made any difference, but it might be worth asking what the dress code is in the sauna and steamroom.
Congratulations on your marriage, and I hope you have a wonderful and memorable honeymoon.
My sister and her ex honeymooned there in 1990. Sounded to me like they enjoyed the place. Just be careful to stay on the resort grounds, the crime rate in Jamaica is bad. A former coworker who hailed from Jamaica (and does not want to go back) said you are safe on the resort grounds, but don't venture too far off. Then again, if you are nude, you probably won't be venturing out of the resort anyways, lol. Enjoy your honeymoon!

While we haven't stayed at Couples Nigrilwe've also stayed at the Grand Lido, Sandals Montego Bay and SandalsAntigua. All seem about the same though. They were ok with topeless about anywhere within reason, but all nude only at the nude beaches and pools.
Getting amorous in the hot tubs was ok late if you are quiet and discreet.
If you go snorkeling try and book with only one or two others, then you can strip if you want while off shore but ask the boat guides first, usually two go out with you. Once I ended up with only me and a girl from Quebec, didn't know her at all before, but she and I had a great time nude snorkling. As did the one young guide who went in the water with us. He seem to enjoy the show.
We took a resort bus trip into Nigril, the resort guide told us where to go and not go, they also stopped at a road side market, was fun and all but as tourist you're treated as such in Jamaica. Hard sells andpushy sometimes. Walk with another couple while in Nigril if possible.
Antigua was completely different, as Americans we were in the minority there, very international and enjoyable.
We went to the nude resort near Ocho Rio, it used to be called Hedonism, but apparently was sold to another company since. No idea what it is called now. We encountered a few people there who were lifestyle oriented, but nobody ever pushed us hard for an encounter. The water was awesome to snorkle and scuba dive in, the resort was friendly and well managed, and the one trip we took off resort, into Ocho Rio was expensive, but fun and souvenirs were inexpensive. Food and pools were outstanding. Wish we could go back!
